Need info on another fig variation, HP010.

I have been working on my figs collection lately and ran across an HP010 that I haven't seen before. Any info on the one on the right? I've never seen one with the dark lapel lines. You can see the full size image HERE.

    Looks like a printing error to me...

    I was looking at the full size image just now, and you can clearly see the dot matrix that makes up the lapel lines. I'm not familiar with the new printing process so I don't know the steps involved to create the image. The old method of pad printing I understand.

    Can anyone shed light on this printing process?

    I also noted the absence of white pupils in the eyes. Is this possibly an early or late version.
