Really like Ed Sheeran and that song & video itself is just beautiful. Fully captures my own joys of childhood while simultaneously wishing I had a boy of my own to watch grow up from Lego building to world charting.

I have no idea who Ed Shearin is?  Am I supposed to?
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
^I didn't know he existed until his song "Lego House" blew up in early 2013. Since then, been a growing fan of his with each song. He's like one of us AFOLs, brick to the bone.

Ed Sheeran has been pretty inescapable if you're into music these days. You've probably heard one or more of his songs even if you didn't know it. "The A Team," "Lego House," "Everything Has Changed (with Taylor Swift)," "Sing," "I See Fire" (Ending theme from Desolation of Smaug), "Thinking Out Loud"

If you don't know him, watch his video for his song "Photograph" on YT.
it and he may just grow on you.

Just adding to the 'I  thought there was a new deal at Amazon'. Also, I was lucky enough to see Ed Sheeran twice, the first time without having heard much he'd done. Best concert I've seen in years, possibly ever. He was on stage on his own with a guitar and a loop box, laying down the backing track and vocals as he sings, and he had the crowd of 18,000 eating out of the palm of his hand. He doesn't look like it but the guy has the best on-stage presence I've ever seen.

These days, it's very easy to be "into music" and not know anything about mainstream artists.

    2 from $524.46
    3 from $786.44
    4 from $1048.42
    5 from $1310.40

Thanks @Brickarmor for getting things back on track. Ill say this though, seeing that 105 dollars for a set like this is considered a good deal now makes me glad I am not devoting money into collecting SW LEGO anymore. Not too long ago this type of set (#6211) was 99.99 USD RRP

FWIW I never look at the homepage. Unless someone references it in the forums. Not saying anyone needs to dump it all here, but I can understand how it would get missed if you primarily come to the forums and not the site in general.

I'm the exact same way. I have always found it a pain in the butt to have to log into both parts of the site. Unless there is a direct mention of something on the main page I rarely go to it.

    Me too!

Seriously though, before the redesign when you could search sets via set # dropdown from within the forum, I found myself poking around the main site often.  Now, hardly ever.

And here you thought this post would be alerting you to a deal on US Amazon *face*

If I'm on a desktop, I'm conditioned to go through the home page first. On my phone, the forum is pinged to my start.

Btw, looks like Dimensions isn't doing so well according to the reviews on Amazon, especially on the 360.

I can't believe Lego universe, life of George, minigures online, fusion, dimensions is struggling.

It actually is a disappointment; the packs are a decent way to bring in some new themes that don't necessarily work for a full release (wizard of oz, Dr who, extended super heroes)

How many of these Amazon reviews are legit in general?
So I checked out the reviews.. Sounds like the typical Amazon review fare: Majority appear to be fools who do not know how to use the product, some likely getting paid to provide a bad review, with a few legit claims about not working properly.
That being said, I'm not surprised that for earlier consoles that the game will have a hard time (Notice that PS3 has the same level of stars as 360?) as 360 has one foot in the grave, and Im surprised there is support for it at this point, I think Arcade support ends in '16 or something like that.

Do not get me wrong, not looking forward to buying a XBox one due to the cost, but Ill be asking for lots of gift cards to Target to get one early next year I think so I can get the 5% off and hope to see a 10% off All XBox One purchases in Cartwheel again.

All of this of course is excluding the likelihood that as with any new software there may be some glitches that need to be fixed.

Since July, xBox Ones have had a 10% discount via Cartwheel twice to my count.

It is a good deal to use the 10% especially when they're throwing in a free game (which can be sold to offset the cost).

Not sure if Dimensions will take off with AFOLs this holiday season with Battlefront and Fallout coming out.

Dimensions may not get any cheaper before Christmas, but I definitely have a feeling they'll be around $75 as a price drop in January/February when everyone has had their gaming fill from the Holidays.

The extra discount on Amazon is tempting though. $60-65 right now is a really good deal for Christmas presents.

Yeah, I thought about the Target one but if people do not feel like jumping through hoops to get one of those, then the Amazon deal may be better. Then again it could go lower due to price matching or if Cyber monday has a deal, but again you are rolling the dice. I guess like anything else in the coming month anywhere.

Right. There is always a chance that a deal can get sweeter if you wait it out.  This is especially true during the Holiday season. You can end up driving yourself crazy over a few bucks playing the "what-if" game though. My rule is pretty simple - 30% off a set I want triggers the buy it now response.  I usually watch the set for a week after purchase and if it happens to go substantially lower then I ask Amazon for an adjustment.  32% off #31026 is a pretty decent deal and there's no way in hell I'm going out early on BF.

Good deal on the Bike Shop.  Lowest I've seen it was at $67 at WalMart a few months back.

I also wonder how how many Target stores will have in stock on BF. I rarely see more than 2 or 3 of that set on shelves.  Either way, Amazon Prime and no taxes make it worth a buy from Amazon!

Is it cheating to hide a Lego set behind some towels and hope no one notices it?

It's outselling Skylanders and isn't included in any of the Black Friday mega discounts like Skylanders and Infinity. Not struggling at all.

Sales revenue is one of the most useless stats in all of business, because it ignores all related data such as cost to produce, license fee maintenance, marketing, production, etc.  Yet, for some reason, the unwashed masses always latch onto it (you see this a lot with movie ticket sales too).

That being said, I hope Dimensions fixes up the early complaints: download issues of purchased levels, packs being too expensive, extra content levels being perceived as "too short," etc.  As for them not being included in BF deals, is that a sign of strength, hubris or ignorance?  I do know that it's one of the chief reasons why we won't be getting it this year.

Exactly why I hate the continued "highest grossing film" BS that happens all the time. Well yeah, ticket prices go up all the time so of course some new blockbuster is going to make more than something from the 80's.

Note that it's $100 on toys.  Video games don't qualify including Dimensions/Infinity/Skylanders and the packs/figures.
