I suspect that mobile truck may end up on my son's Christmas list.

HQ truck is nice (especially the colour) but not even close to the original.

I wasn't in love with the Hurricane Heist from the initial pictures, but after seeing that video, I think it looks great.

I was thinking that too. The older one was all sorts of awesome sauce, and I wish I had picked up it. This one is okay. I will probably be getting all of these UltraAgents sets.

Yeah, it looks good... But I can't help but think "That would look so much better in black and orange!" :o)

I was very excited when I heard about the new Agents but after seeing this I'm less than impressed. The original Agents line seemed to have more of an overall direction and focus. I'm hoping I'll change my mind when we see the official images for all of the sets but so far I really don't care for the builds or the minifigs.

Sadly the more I see the more I know I'll be sticking with Agents 1.

One thing I really liked about the Agents sets in 2008 was that each faction was, for the most part, equally equipped. For example, #8631, you get a snowmobile and a jet-pack. #8634, probably one of the best non-licensed sets ever imo, you get a sick car, a helicopter, and a gate with an alarm! Most of these sets just don't do it for me...

The new sets, to me, seem somewhat sloppily and haphazardly constructed. The large size of the HQ Truck is very cool, but it looks so messy. I wish the designers could have made it look somewhat like a real truck and trailer. Oh well, I guess I get to save money this way.

Still planning to get all of these. They look like a lot of fun. Honestly, I'm getting kind of burned out on licensed themes.

Has anyone got any of the Ultra Agents sets? I keep looking at the HQ and car.....thing and wanting to pull the trigger but I am unsure about them.
  • chuckpchuckp Member Posts: 684
^ I bought the #70160 Riverside Raid set as an impulse buy mainly for the agent fig. Once I find a suitable replacement flesh head and hair, I will have my own Agent Coulson.

As a theme, I'm not that excited about the sets. However, from the assortment of great new parts for the MOC bin, they have loads of potential. Looking forward to getting the car and HQ just for the trans blue parts. My desk needs a TRON Light Runner.

The Lego Agents sets are out now. I saw them at Toys r us a few days ago. I probably buy those snazzy set. Well that is after I finish collecting the rest of the LOTR/Hobbit. ;-8

I bought the Tremor Track and Infearno Interception. I think they're both great. The builds are fun and the minifigs are superb.

Infearno is really cool. A must buy.

70161 Tremor Track Infiltration looks like a great set for me because:
    1-it is $19;
2-the main chassis of the vehicle has a lot of potential to rebuild into either an Armored Personal Carrier (add a front ramp and presto) or add a turret and we have a normal tank.
3-the agent and his shield looks great and the data bank he is protecting can be integrated into the Star Wars line.
I may even buy three of those sets and make three different vehicles (a tank, APC and the giant fist thing to bust over walls in my MOCs).

I am certainly tempted by the inferno car and HQ but that is my issue they would just be as a massive parts bin. Not sure they are worth it.
  • cheshirecatcheshirecat Member Posts: 5,331
^ they will be when they inevitably hit 50% off.

I just noticed the agent in #70162 Infearno Interception has the same name as the guy from Galaxy Squad, e.g. in #70701 Swarm Interceptor.

    Laziness or implied continuity? Hm...
  • RedbullgivesuwindRedbullgivesuwind Member Posts: 2,116
^apprently it is continuity they are meant to be in the same universe.

@cheshirecat‌ that is what I am thinking. There is bound to be a sale of them this time next year so it maybe worth waiting until then.

@chuckp - I want that torso to update my Agent Coulson!!
Still need to work on the others, May is the one I'm least happy with. I want to make a Deathlok, Garrett, Trip and Rayna too.

I'm planning on picking up Ultra Agents sets for the parts as well.

^i think that seems to be the appeal of the sets to AFOL as simply part bins. I am hoping that some are as good as the alien line where I don't really want to take them apart.
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,940
^ I love the look of #70162 as a set and for parts. But there's no way I'd pay £25 for it. Looks like a £15/£20 set max.

First thing I saw was a pack of lots of black curve parts, nice red armour, the minifig hair in grey in a cheap set, surfboard in new colour, ...

@LostInTranslation‌ Your MAoS figures are fantastic! Each fig is instantly recognizable for anyone who watches the show. I've always thought the Series 3 Space Villain CMF would have been a good start for the comic book version of Deathlok, not so much for the TV version though. If you make any changes or add any new figs, I hope you will post them.

@andhe I completely agree it looks nice but seems way over priced. However to be able to finally have some trans blue peices....

I can't say I'm a fan of #70163. It inaccurately portrays science facilities as a battleground between high-tech paramilitaries and green skinned terrorists. I suspect this will make children want to avoid careers in science out of fear. I would have expected a more socially responsible set from The Lego Group.

I bought set #70160 whilst I was on holiday in Hong Kong last week. Their local TRU had a display box set up with all the sets and they looked awesome.

I only bought this small set as they had Guardians of the Galaxy sets plus many others I wanted.

Anyone know if the Astor City Guard in Hurricane Heist 70164 has any printing on the back of his torso? Hoping to use it as a sgt. In my police force, but it won't work if it says guard on the back.

Recently bought riverside raid at 50% off. Thought I'd see what the 'Free App' was all about. But my phone is too old to download it. I read somewhere about it containing alternate instructions for the sets. Can anyone confirm this, or is it just a point and shoot game?
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
@andhe - From the little I have played I think it is just point and shoot. It does give some interesting details on the plot surrounding each set though.
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,940

    So no alternate instructions then?

    ^ Not that I found.
  • RomanticWarriorRomanticWarrior Member Posts: 248
It does include an alternate build using some of the pieces from the sets once you "find everything" for each mission. But they are just micro builds using some of the pieces from the set. For example, for Tremor Track, it shows a build for a small turret about the size of the one from the Kraang polybag.
