The Discussion of..."Compatible Non-Lego Brand products"?

I am not here to discourage/encourage discussion or mention any products of a competitor company, but what do the general rules say about them? Example, if I ever think about talking about them at all, should I mention any names discreetly in an open/new thread or is it better to take the conversation elsewhere?

Discussions about LEGO competitors such as Megabloks, Kreo, Cobi, etc are generally discouraged here.

I don't think there's anything against mentioning their name (eg this set looks like its made of mega bloks) but we're not in this forum to talk about them (eg hey I've seen this great new mega bloks set blah blah) as we're AFOLs, not AFOMBs. :)

I have a couple of Kre-o's, they are ok. The bricks are actually decent quality...but not legos.

Are there other forums out there where we can discuss these brands without thinking of ourselves ar pariahs? My kids aren't married to any one company so when it comes to Bricking I want to be able to find out what I need about any of them.
