If it's for a really niche audience as suggested, then it must be EU. Thrawn would be superb - I'd be happy to make him the exception to my 'OT only' colling habits. Zahn's books are the only EU I've really gotten into.

Maybe they go with someone to support Mos Eisley -- the bartender? We know it is probably not Momaw Nadon (Hammerhead) because I think he was on the box.

I'm looking forward to what ends up in the Advent Calendar. Should be a combination of some Mos Eisley-related figs and Ep3 figs. Thinking we'll see a Bith band member, a sand stormie, and a Jawa.

Wuher as a promo would make sense because I don't expect him to be included in the cantina set. But he's not particularly novel, nor well-known, so I'd be very surprised if it's him.

Momaw Nadon was not in the leaked image of the cantina set. There is an Ithorian in another set, but it's not Nadon. Since they've apparently got a mold, though, it wouldn't surprise me to see Nadon in the cantina set since he's one of the more recognizable aliens.

Can i just say i wasn't actually voting for Thrawn (or any of those EU characters). Merely guessing at what it might be.

For me, Star Wars has always been what happens on the screen (pre-lucas edits). How crazy that I even have to say that qualifier. (Han shot first, Fett isn't a kiwi, Vader does not turn into Hayden Chrishowitspelledsen upon death). So i'd personally prefer something from the films (though don't expect it).

I just can't warm to anything EU in the same way (unfortunately). It will be very interesting to see what the new films do with it all. I wouldn't be surprised if they did a complete washover, like the books never happened. Writers/Directors tend not to like being told what to write/film.

@legomatt I think the EU is dust, if it's being set forty years after RotJ there's just too much to explain about what's happened (characters get married, have kids, one dies by out of galaxy aliens, kid kills aunt, sister kills brother... Etc)

I'm guessing that this figure will be like the Chrome Stormtrooper a few years ago, available in the summer here in the US as a promotion.

Secondly, I'm kind of curious about the "Random Assorted Bricks" pack. I'm wondering if it's a Pick A Brick selection, or a set in its own right.

It is fun to guess but as others have firmly said it is not in this thread how do we really know? Who do we trust, is there a deepthroat, where are the tapes and is someone offering preferential room rates at a hotel in Billund... This is legoegate...

More sensibly however, I can't recall any of the previous May 4th promos appearing anywhere else first, could be wrong on that, but given just how important the date has become to companies promoting SW products I can't see them letting exclusive promo's out into the world early, especially if they will be used to draw people in to buy items like the sandcrawler (if that rumour is true). The poster on the other had is much more probable as part of the May 4th promo.

Monkey-too, you bring up a very good point on who can you really trust?

Certain exclusive sets (esp. Series that have IP(Intellectual Property)) rights are guarded with higher levels of privacy than non IP series. Granted sometimes leaks do happen, some not so accidental ;) and others that really upset the Lego group.

Take for instance the May 4th exclusive poly bags, if someone posted the prototype picture of the main exclusive mini fig, the list of suspects is NOT that long. Your going to have to trust me on this.

So hypothetically if someone had information she/he has to be very careful as the goal of that said person is to build up anticipation without ruining the surprise. The Lego Group's Confidentiality Agreement is very very very clear cut on termination and post penalties. Credibility on a forum does not pay bills.

So a source can only be trusted if you trust that source. However since sooner or later;likely unintentionally; the main 2014 UCS set will be leaked, it is Slave 1 that will be released in the Fall with a price of $2X9.99

Sorry if my humor has missed the mark a bit. At the end of the day as @brickdevteam says only a handful of people are in the know for big events like May 4th and and for the rest of us it is a bit of fun guessing and deducing what is coming up.

I don't know anyone that works for lego or any contact with the company myself and hidden behind obscure usernames in a vertual world I have no idea who does so when the guessing gets going on these events the stronger staments will always raise an eyebrow, doesn't mean they are wrong but on this thread we have two very strong contradictory statements, it just made me think of watergate for some reason :)

No offence meant, just thought it was funny.

A Tusken raider would fit in well with the Sandcrawler, if there were none coming with it, or maybe one of the as yet not done bounty hunters to complement the UCS Slave I later in the year.
