    Very cool, still would love the white Boba Fett though, keep looking at TC-14's on ebay very tempted.

    Awesome! I've been dying for that protocol droid Palpatine was supposed to have in Phantom Menace but was cut from the movie so no one's ever heard of it.

    I'd be disappointed if this was the May 4th offering. Too similar to TC-14. Though I'm only interested in OT so that's naturally colouring my judgement too...

    I don't think it's going to be the May 4th promo. Rather because it's released to Toys R Us Hong Kong, it's more likely to follow along the line of Shirtless Darth Maul -- available to retailers. May 4th promo - TC 14, Hoth Han, ARC trooper -- have only ever been available at [email protected]

    I'm wondering, if Lego is starting to use characters from deleted scenes, would they go as far as to use characters from the Star Wars Holiday Special, such as Chewie's family.

    At least make it a character that is actually FROM something...

    I realize they want to do it cheap and just recolor an existing minifigure, but really? A protocol droid cut from Episode 1? How about one of the many astromechs we haven't gotten yet? Padme's ship alone had a whole squad of different R2 repaints.

    Polybags are a great way to make a figure that will likely never appear in any set, so I don't mind getting obscure or non-canon characters, but I will have to agree that they could have at least made something other than another protocol droid.

    What they really need to do is a carbonite Han where it is a real minifig that snaps into a block backing.

    I still maintain that Hoth Han, which is easily the best May the 4th minifig they've ever produced, would have done quite well if so many hadn't wound up with resellers, but I never would have guessed the B-Wing would be half off.

    Ah well. You win some and you lose some. On the bright side, I don't even have to figure what to buy this year if this lackluster little guy is really what's on offer. :D

    On the other hand, I wouldn't be sad if @Legoboy were hinting at an Endor Han. Two winning minifigs in a row seems unlikely, but I'd have to figure out something to buy just so I could round out my Han collection.

    A minifig snaps into this at the back of this: carbonite han
    But I'm guessing you mean a whole minifig completely decorated in 'carbonite frozen' colour scheme, which you then clip/stand in a brick&plate built backing (out of plates, cheeses, & trans-studs, i'd imagine).

    Thinking about it, that would be pretty cool. I agree. Great idea!

    Personally, I'd prefer an Endor Han (complete with trench coat) be included in a regular set of some kind, rather than having to spend £50+ on a Star Wars [email protected] order (when there might be nothing at all I want to spend £50+ at RRP on).

    There wasn't anything last time, which meant I missed the Hoth Han (and I actually really liked that fig). :o[

    My problem is I collect mainly OT SW sets, so there aren't any sets I'm really interested in that will be out on May 4th that I won't or don't already have. I hope that it's a special fig that is worthwhile, to make me bite the bullet on a PT set like I did last year(I bought Palpatine's Arrest). Otherwise my money is saved I suppose.

    Nah, I don't love shiney droids enough to pay £350+ for them, even if they did come with the giant grey parts pack for free. :oP

    The figure in question is completing finalization
    To build anticipation, the figure has never been done before
    And Very dedicated Star Wars fans will have their minds blown

    I am afraid not, May the 4th is a very important event and the figure in question was chosen for a select group of Star Wars fans ;)

    However please keep in mind what I said earlier, this character has never been made before (Ben, ghost or not, has already been done).

    I suppose it could be Jaina Solo or Admiral Thrawn or somesuch EU thing... I guess, but that seems a bit... meh. Also not exclusive enough... If what brickdev says is true, I'm getting the feeling it's a very specific fig, out of the norm, almost 'in-house joke'.
