Exclusive LEGO MOVIE Minifigures?

My local Best Buy was sold out of the Wii U games and only had 1 PS Lego Movie game left as of Sat. 6pm and the TRU was already sold out when we went to the event this afternoon but an employee told me they were extending the $15 off for another week.

I got one sleepy emmett at Regal theatres when buying 2x tickets. Limit 1 per regal card.

My Regal theater required that I only have to buy a 2D ticket to get the Pajamas Emmet, just as long as I gave my Regal card.
Great little minifig btw. I love his yawning face.

we went to the local odeon to see it yesterday, and got the boy(6) a kids drink popcorn etc .
the girl gave him it all and the dj minifig poly.
he said (unprompted and very politely ) "could I have the pajamas emmet please", as hed already decided that was the one he wanted because hed seen it on the trailer.
the girl just gave him the pj one as well! and said dont tell anyone.

top work to that young lady, she made his day , and he wanted to say thanks again after the film , but she was busy with customers , but she did wave back at him.

I often think cinemas are overpriced and the service poor , but yesterday I was very pleasantly surprised.

I just discovered TRU Canada will give you a scratch card for any movie stub you bring in, and all 3 of the minifigs are potential prizes. Time to watch the movie a few times...

Just out of interest, are any of you who bought the game for the pre-order fig planning to actually play it? If so, I'd be interested to hear how good it is, and how it stacks up against the others (Star Wars, LotR, Indiana Jones) etc.

My little brother and I have played co-op through most of the others, and I figure if it's any good, I'll pick it up cheap-ish for the summer holidays (or the Easter holidays if it's really good!).

Went to the first showing this morning, first in the theatre at AMC. Each of the four of us got an DJ mini fig and we aren't members. Guess we were lucky because I didn't see anyone else with them later in the show.

We watched the movie on friday and picked up the game yesterday. The game is very good imho. we have all the lego games, this one even seems the least glitchy of them all.

Did good at midnight showing thurs in Manhattan for DJ Robot, no luck for PJs Emmet in Brooklyn today =-( Will have to try best buy, shoulda went the other day when i was out and about.

So I wandered into Odeon and bought the PJ's Emmet and the Robot DJ with kids pack deal and no ticket purchase. Win!

Where do I find the Wild West Emmet over here in the UK?

Seems the theater/cinema promos are easier to get in the UK than here in the US.

Me not being a member of anything and not wanting to buy any games, it appears I'll have to sit this out for a while until things settle down and more people have extras they want to sell for reasonable amounts...

Unless LEGO has plans to offer these some other way down the road (in store or online - not likely though).

I remember hearing something in the UK about the Daily Mail carrying PJ Emmet. Heard this on Eurobricks by the way, but I'm not totally sure if it's actually happening.

Hopefully Toys R Us will be given plenty stock of these to avoid dissapointment. Some Odeon's ran out of PJ Emmet pretty quick

Not another TRU disaster, although WHS weren't much better.

Lets hope:
a) they all know about it
b) they all have enough stock
c) they all have the same system for handing out the poly

Or is that just wishful thinking....

Depends where you are @doubledbrick Got one at Gamestop a couple days ago just by going in an asking. I haven't had any luck on Pyjamas Emmet yet =-(

@murphquake you must of been lucky and got a friendly shop assistant as thought these western Emmet's were already in the game boxes or allocated to each game.

Just picked up the game at Game. Got the figure included (WW Emmett) BUT they are also selling the Batman Movie Blu ray. Yes, with the Clark Kent fig. . £7. Ymmv I guess.

@scottwb2010 it didn't hurt that my friend i was with was getting info on console prices and they knew him. I went to a few and most said they only got a couple copies per store.

I went to get the Movie game today at the local game store to get western Emmett but they said you only get it if you pre order. They made up an excuse when I said it doesn't mention anything on their advertising posters or on the games packaging about pre-order only. Wasn't impressed.

Gamestop is notorious for this kind of behavior which is why I do not give them my money.
Common sense would say that if your store gets 20 pre-orders with special bonus fig that the store should have 20 figures available for those people. But that does not happen, either by the inability of GS management to properly allocate them or due to them just handing out figures to those who ask, (even though they are supposed to be allocated for those pre-ordering the game).
I pre-ordered the poTC game some time ago with the Sparrow fig.. I had to work that day but I figured 'no biggie, I pre-ordered it and it should have the figure with it'. Boy was I wrong. Cancelled my order and I have not bought from Gamstop since. I'm not rewarding them for their incompetence .

I pre-ordered it through Game but had them deliver... should have gone through pickup because the box is smushed :(

I was out today and for some odd reason I felt drawn to this Gamestop I saw. I have never been in this store but I just walked in and asked the clerk if by chance he had any of the LEGO Western Emmet promo figures left over. He double checked to make sure that everyone who pre-ordered got their figure and he just handed me one. I asked what I owed him and he said it was free. Even though that store is way across town that will be the store I do all of my shopping at from now on.

^Good that you followed that draw that you felt @Thanos75. You were probably smiling all day after this! And good for the clerk at the store. He now has a loyal new customer, but I'm especially glad he did the right thing by checking to be sure those who pre-ordered would not be cheated out of their minifigs. Good stuff all around. @bmwlego i saw it at 2 different Regal/UA theaters and no PJ Emmet =-( they gave them out at rockefeller at the event on Sunday that Bad Erm & BP went to as well as that wyldstyle poly... i need to pass there and beg for leftovers =-)

I walked into a Game Stop at the mall and asked if they had any Western Emmets left. The guy behind the counter opened a drawer and handed me one. Sweeeeet!!!!

No doubt we'll get nothing here in Australia. It was made in Aussie studios by Aussie animators, we have to wait months to see it and as usual we probably won't get any exclusive figures!

Do the figures not come in a box with the game then like they do in the UK?

^im in the UK and the western Emmet is in a poly bag on this occasion. I expected it to be in the box which I think would have been better as everyone who buys the game would have got a mini fig then rather than the way it's been conducted.

western emmet is indeed in the box. also, if you ask nicely at the odeon they may sell you the figure without the other bits you need to get. at least they did for me - you need to buy a kids snack pack to get either emmet or robo dj, not an actual cinema ticket!

With past Gamestop promo figs they came in their own poly. LotR elf and Lex Luthor for example.

^ Lex Luthor was in a poly but the poly was in a larger box that the game was packaged in. The Iron Patriot, on the other hand, was a loose polybag.

I got mine from Game (UK) and it was in a poly in a box with the game like all previous promos

^^Funny because at my Gamestop in the States the Lex was just in a poly behind the registers. The Iron Patriot over here came with Marvel Video game from Walmart inside a box that held it and the game.

Weird, all of the special editions of the games I've had have had the additional box to hold the polys, you'd have thought if they were going to the effort of making them they'd use them for all of them.

My mistake earlier. My son western emmet did come in the box as previous games have. He just showed me the contents of the box when I got home from work. Oh and the box got launched out the road like everything else! Lol

I did wonder, the only other UK retailer I was aware had the offer was amazon, and thought it odd that Game would get the box and Amazon wouldn't.
