Exclusive LEGO MOVIE Minifigures?

I took my little Boy to see the new 'Walking with Dinosaurs' movie yesterday at an Odeon cinema and they ran a few promos for the Lego movie. They quickly mentioned that there is an offer for 2 exclusive minifigs including a different Emmet in pajamas (similar to the sleepyhead from series 6 cmf) if you book tickets. I haven't seen these before and cannot see anything online, anyone seen these?

My son went to Odeon before xmas and told me about these, though I didn't know it was Emmet - the information from him and my non-AFOL wife was a bit vague. The other figure is some kind of DJ I believe. I couldn't find anything online about these either. I think at our ODEON it said you get a figure if you buy the Kids Mix in the sweet shop.

@deepdalelegend & @iso3200 was this in the UK? We used to have Cineplex Odeon theaters around NYC but I don't recall hearing the name in ages. Thanks!

I remember their popcorn combos occasionaly come with a gift - batman magnet, despicable me toy... could that be how to get these minifigs?

^ I read somewhere (on Brickset, but can't find it now) that someone went to see a film at the Odeon and one of the adverts was for their popcorn combo (kids), which comes with a minifig.

They are doing that promotion here in America but only if you buy the 3D ticket. I can't wait to get one next week when the movie release.

To follow up on InsomniacEve's post, here is the minifig, Radio DJ Robot. The email I got from the local AMC Theater says it is only valid for 3-D ticket pre-orders for 7-9 Feb only.

You also need to be AMC Stub member which carries $12 annual fee.

I picked up my family's tickets for the first Saturday show at AMC Tysons Corner in VA today. They said the minifigures would be distributed at the screening. Hopefully they'll still have them. And hopefully I'll be able to swap one of them for one of the Regal Emmets.

Walmart has the DJ guy as its pre-order figure, which I'd rather have over another Emmet figure.. Just debating how much I want to spend $50 dollars on a game.
Though Im guessing if there are multiple outlets to get any of the figures it should be easier to get one for a good price on eBay when they are out in the wild (as opposed to Iron Patriot).

I've just been talking to a very nice young man at my local Odeon (Gerrards Cross) and he said there definitely will be a polybag promotion on the kids snack combo. He couldn't find the exact info to show me and they don't have the Lego in yet (as this weekend is just previews rather than full release) but he seemed to think there was a choice of poly. Like I say, he couldn't find the bulletin with the exact details but hopefully those will come to light in the next week.

Now I'm in a quandary. I desperately want to see the movie asap but should wait for the promo. What to do, what to do?!

True - in the end it maybe slightly cheaper to buy it in the secondary market than trying to run around and get them by buying either game(s) or movie tickets that some theaters are not guaranteeing that you'll actually get one.

Why don't you go and see the movie wherever and whenever you want. Then when they have the promo on at the Odeon go in, buy the food needed to get the figure, then walk out again with the Lego in hand and toss the appalling overpriced gunk they pass off as food in these places into the bin?

^ Think I'll do just that, especially as I've just found out it'll cost me almost 3 quid more to watch it at Odeon rather than Cineworld (which is also much closer and more convenient for me)!

^^ Although this sounds a good idea, I would guess Odean will have a clause in the giveaway in that they will ask to see a copy of your ticket, as they will probably only give away the minifigs to those watching the Lego Movie and not other films! Just a thought.

I just sold my extra game on ebay in about 20 minutes for $39.99.

Went to pick up my preorder at Gamestop and no figure. They said they only got 5 for their 20 preorders. I refused and asked for my money back from the preorder. Should have learned my lesson and preordered online like I did with LOTR. Picking this up at Best Buy.

That is why Game stop does not get my business. If their inept management cannot figure out that 20 pre-orders with the figure as a bonus means that store should get at least 20 figures then they are not being rewarded by me spending my money for that kind of incompetence

I got the Pajama Emmet at the local Regal, When i called, they said i need to enroll into the reward program. but when my wife get there, she just got it without any issue!

I was able to get a Western Emmet today at EBGames, Canada's Gamestop. No preorder, just bought the game and asked for the minifig.

@1brickshyofcrazy At Best Buy, the PJ Emmet does not come packaged with the game. So you should be able to get one if they still have it. They had to do this for me.
