Need help with building 60014

Hello!

Hope everyone is having a great Christmas and got plenty of Lego :)

We gave our eldest the 60014 but have a problem:

the stick that is used on the pulley that is used on the anchor of teh helicopter seems too short. If you have a look at the instructions it' son booklet 1, pages 27 and 28.

Has anyone else also had this problem or do we just happen to have a box with a shorter stick than it should? The stick that came in our box is 3 cms but it really should be about 4cms.

Thank you :)

@Praias, you are probably using a Grey axle of length of 3 (there are 3 in that set), while the instructions are for a black axle of length 4 (there is 1 in that set)

? In the list of parts there is only one of these small axles and 2 bigger ones that are also used in the helicopter, in the bottom parts (can be seen from page 23 onwards in the instruction booklet 1) @ColoradoBricks

On page 23, it is black axle 8 in length. On page 26, you need black axle of length 4. What color and size is your axle ? Could you attach pictures ?

Both the axles I mentioned are black. The ones on page 23 are right, the one on page 26 is black but 3 cms as I mentioned before.

There are no other black axles in the box.

Pictures attached show the bigger ones, which are correct, and the 3 cms which is too short.

@Praias, that does look right. Axle is seems to be 4 in length, reel should be 2 of length and then a round brick on each side. They may have the new round tile mold, so make sure you axle is not too much "pushed" in.

I measured it. It's 3 cms in length.

Yes, it does have a round brick in each side but even if you hardly put in on one side it still doesn't work. If it's supposed to be 4cm then we have the wrong bit.

@ColoradoBricks is referring to length in studs not cm. Try centering the axle on the pulley before attaching the round bricks.

Just had a look at the instructions online, and it looks like u need the black axle 4, of which there is only 1 in the set. '4' meaning 4 studs long.
