Tips for Shipping Small Sets

Hello,

I'm looking to offload a bunch of #4865 on eBay. What is the most cost efficient way to ship them? I'm assuming that I should keep them NIB instead of deboxing them? If so, would it be sufficient to ship each one in a padded envelope? What are the chances that the boxes will become damaged during transit?

Thanks for the help! (:

100% chances of those boxes being damages in a padded envelope...
For those I recycle small boxes from Amazon (A1 and A3) to ship first class. If you ship priority mail, you can use the 7x7x6 PM boxes that USPS offers for free.

How much would it cost to ship first class? And would selling them deboxed be a good alternative or would no one be interested?

Buy some 8x6x4 boxes from Staples (if US based). You can get 25 for less than $10, shipped free if you sign up on their site to join Staples Rewards. Then shipping is in the $2.50-$4 range per set. You'll need one big air pocket as filler for each box, but if anyone buys two, they will both fit into the 8x6x4.

^^ This. And for all that is holy do NOT ship them in a bubble mailer. I just got a #40083 off ebay that someone with feedback over 2000 shipped in a bubble mailer. Its completely destroyed.

Now royal mail are priced based on size and weight you could fit them within a card board box with padded protection and it will cost exact same!

That set should post for only £2.60 second class no probs. Only downside is a little extra of your time.
