Why Legomen like coffee

Ever wonder why Legomen have been drinking more and more coffee lately? Maybe it's the increasing stress they're putting up with in Lego City, a simple marketing idea at Billund, or someone in the coffee industry tipped them off ( yeah, right). You'll see "mugs" in many Lego sets, especially working vehicles, implying how popular the caffeinated drink is. You see coffee makers in some City sets, including the police truck (7288), fire station (7298), and transport system (8404; which they don't sell officially in Japan, bummer! ). Have I missed any?
Even the bandit Legomen are reported to kill for a nice drink ( yes, kill a cop or an unarmed citizen with their favorite crowbars! ) They'll probably rob a coffee shop or break into Cafe Corner to get high on caffeine instead of just a bank.

    There's one in the apartment above the Pet Shop. They've been in numerous sets over the years. As I recall, the design hasn't changed much since its debut in the 1980 Lego Idea Book (at least that's the earliest I recall seeing it).

    I think one in the space shuttle is the oddest! Clearly a cup of coffee in zero gravity is not practical

    My lego people are clearly drinking orange juice out of their mugs. :D ;)

    I never thought of those as coffee mugs. My minifigs prefer hot chocolate. (c;

    Lego sets are designed for children and most children associate coffee drinking with work and adults which is why you see them in city sets all the time. They do appear in star war sets as a cute joke as well.

    There's also a coffee maker in the 'break room' of the Space Police Central set, which was a cute addition.

    Yep, so much coffee associated with Lego that they even have them in Star Wars, eh? Now I think Lego should collaborate with Nestle or SegaFredo. Now I think I'll go and make a full-scale coffee maker.

    They're already worked with Nestle before. Remember the Quik Bunny?

    They need a doughnut for the Police Sets. I can see it now -- LEGO Police Doughnut Attack.

    There was a coffee maker in one of the Power Miners sets as well - the Rock Wrecker I believe it was.

    There is also one for the prince in the original Knight's Joust. You can see it in front of him in the picture:

    In the days before we had LEGO goblets, I guess.
