Wish we'd got VIP points last year - that's a decent number of points.....
I really don't want to sound ungrateful, but the math junkie in me is totally wondering how they decided on the points to deposit.
In my case, they added 1,300 points, which looks like I spent $1,300 - and as you all know, that's clearly not the case. Just wondering if someone has a theory for why that specific sum was deposited. Interesting that it strikes a close resemblance to the price in Danish currency: 13,000 DKK.
Is anybody interested in a few posts to this thread about how the trip is going? Not about to start a blog or anything like that. And no spoilers (the secret set seems to have remained a secret this year). May all change depending on the contents of the NDA we have to sign on our arrival.
I'll send you a direct mail @GoldJono.

tour itself doesn't start until tomorrow - almost exactly 24 hours after I arrived here. Will not be telling my wife that.
Now off for a wonder, maybe to find some other bricksetters.
Haven't yet signed confidentiality forms (which basically say you'll keep secret things secret), so I'm free to speak - unfortunately I don't have any info yet! This year we also have to sign video release forms, it seems, as they are filming the tour because it's the 10th anniversary. Not sure how I feel about that at all :-)
Plenty of Fire Brigades, Tower Bridges and B-Wings (at full price) but no Parisien Restaurants.
Oh, and my tulip is actually a rose.
Don't buy anything in the LL shop until you've seen what's available in the staff shop. Tat, if you're into it, is usually 1/4 the price in there
Looking forward to the tour updates on this thread.
The hotel literally overlooks LEGOLAND - below you can see the view from my room on the Inside Tour last year.
Your posts are bringing back lots of pleasant memories - looking forward to more !

I wonder if I can convince the OH that would be a good honeymoon idea for next year....probably not, never mind.
@drdavewatford That is probably my favourite hotel room view photo I've ever seen.
:-)

Today we will be having an intro with Mads Nipper, then a trip to the LEGO Idea House, meet the designers and a building challenge. Looks like a full day.
Today we got to meet Lego's CEO, "JV", visited the museum and vault, and met lots of designers. We heard about how the Lego movie process worked and saw some prototype models that got dropped from the film edit (no can't talk about them). We also got a talk from an element designer. Then we have had a building contest.
Got a reveal of a new Star Wars set. Unfortunately it's one everyone already knows about.
A very long day, sure I missed something. Oh yes, we have Inside Tour branded water.
10173: steps walked around factories and offices, and Into Billund to buy Lego house set.
96000: DKK spent in LEGO store by Inside Tour Attendees in about an hour. (About £10,000)
1: Very interesting talk on the new ball joint element by the element designer
4: new free gifts today so far.
2: hours free time before programme kicks off again with dinner.

Time for some sleep and more tomorrow.
