Having real problems sourcing these as most the brick link stores that have 3 in stock will not ship over here, am happy to pay up to £2 each for these parts if anyone can help thanks in anticipation

Sorry forgot to say I am in the UK

I have 2, that you can have for £2 each including UK postage if you are interested. I'm in the UK as well.
I might have a few other spare bits like the boat hull parts but I haven't got the sails.

Can't you just use Legos missing parts service?

Shows as parts not available in that colour.

@huw - just thinking out loud here, but we should really have a dedicated area for people looking for 1-off parts. I would love to send a Brickset request for 1-2 parts missing from a set versus hunting BL, especially if I could trade pieces/polybags/CMF.

The Brickset community is usually pretty responsive :)

Just me thinking out loud - and sorry to hijack the thread!

Yes I tried lego first, and yes I think it's a fab idea to have a missing parts thread

Another "thumb's up" from me for a great idea, I have a few sets that have a couple of bit missing here and there and I myself would be willing to buy or trade for the pieces that I am missing.
BTW @Coyotelily are you interested in the 2 tan 4151b's #4299023 ?, the cheapest ones on Bricklink are in Slovakia and are £2.14 each + postage.

Did you actually call Lego and tell them you bought the set and the pieces are missing? I assume, they have a stash somewhere for things like this. You might not be able to casually buy the piece in that color for MOC purposes or any other purpose, but if you bought the set and the piece was missing I assume TLG has a separate "line item" for this.

6035288 is available for purchase at Lego bricks and pieces. Different color but looks like the same part otherwise.

This part 6035288, (4151b) in tan was in 2 Lego sets

#6210-1 Jabbas Sail Barge released in 2006

#8107-1 Fight For The Golden Tower released in 2007

Both set have been retired for at least 5+ years and the chances of getting the parts you want in the colour you need, (Tan), from Lego are going to be pretty much zero.
I have tried to get parts before from Lego for long retired sets and was basically told to try Bricklink.
Have you tried looking on ebay for incomplete sets of #6210-1 ?, they do come up from time to time.
ATM there is one tan 8x8 plate on ebay, but that is in the USA , it is £2.54 & £8.50 shipping to the UK so not a lot of use to you.
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-4151-GRID-PLATE-8-x-8-Brick-Yellow-Tan-/350830238258?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item51af1c9a32
Some were sold on ebay, (if you search "lego 6210" and look in the complete listings there are a couple that sold for between £3.50-£3.99 each with postage & packing on top.
I believe that some #6210-1 's came with 3 normal 8x8 plates in tan instead of the 8x8 grills.
A ebay search for #8107-1 fairs no better

Except that it shows available right now on Bricks and Pieces. Also check the brickset database. http://www.brickset.com/parts/search/?query=grid plate 8x8 Several colors may be available and several are not.

eta -part 6035288 is from 2013- Appears in 1 set, in 2013. I think you are confusing it with the part she was looking for 4299023.

Sorry my bad, I meant 4299023 not 6035288, which BTW is dark tan and doesn't have a hole in the middle, hence the "b" after the part ref number.
As for bricks & pieces they will supply a replacement piece but in another colour.
A while ago I tried to get the light bley boat rigging & lever base with lever for the #10179-1 and they sent the black boat rigging & light bley lever base with black lever and the radar dish was a no no due to something to do with the licence ?.
So like I said before chances of getting the correct piece in the colour you need for a long retired set from Lego is zero.

Have you seen the shipping price for 3, (@$1.09 each) of those 8x8's +$18.60 = $21.87 when converted to £'s = £4.50 each, @Coyotelily was asking for someone in the Uk to keep the cost down

^Well, according to the descriptions the older one is "brick yellow" and the newer one is "sand yellow". And they both look like they have a hole. But enough quibbling over details, I'm glad you could help out a fellow bricksetter, that's what is important.
(Shipping for bricks and pieces in the US is $2.95 flat rate)

Brick Yellow or Tan, the element required for #6210-1 Jabba's Sail Barge is out of stock at Lego Bricks & Pieces for the UK.

I thought it was just my set I recently got hold of that incorrect flat 8x8 plates and not the grill plates as shown in the booklet. Looks like this was a common issue with this set. Am currently trying to buy 3 grill plates in tan from the states, hope I can get them and make the set perfect.

^I have some for you but it might be awhile before I can ship them though. PM me if you are interested and we can see what we can work out.
  • suprajamessuprajames Member Posts: 366
thanks @bumblepants but another very kind member has offered to send me the 3 plates i need, thanks for your offer though :)

Sorry to hijack but I thought it made more sense to ask here than start a new thread asking for the identical parts.

I am in the UK and need 3 of these for my sail barge, would anyone be able to hook me up, please? Am happy to buy internationally if need be :-)

If anyone can help, please could you pm me?

^--Are you saying you cannot find these: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=64904&colorID=2 Sellers on Bricklink have them as seen in the link (Im guessing brickowl.com has them as well), Or are you speaking of another part?
They will not be cheap because they were not in many sets and people know what set their are primarily used for
  • suprajamessuprajames Member Posts: 366
I got 3 via BrickLink a while back for my set, cost me £8 shipped from the states.

Thanks guys, had googled them and not found any, have bookmarked these sites for future reference.
