Customising Star Wars TIE Interceptor 6206
Hi, I'm a newbie to the forum, and relatively new to Lego Star Wars, but now my son is of a reasonable age we're having fun building the sets together, and I'm having fun reliving my youth!
I've recently purchased and built the TIE Interceptor (6206) to go with the Darth Vader's TIE Fighter (8017), TIE Fighter (9492) and TIE Defender (8087) that I'd recently purchased, however, I'm considering replacing the blue bricks on the TIE Interceptor with grey ones to make it look more like the three other ships.
Has anybody on here done this and if so does anyone have any pics so I can see what it would like before I try sourcing all the bricks?
Sorry if it's a bit of a long ask for such a long question, but you know what they say, "if you don't ask......."

I never cared for the blue/black/tan color combos, but I grabbed the lot of them on Ebay after picking up the TIE Defender a few years back. Once the new TIE (#9492) came out, I bought an extra to convert the Interceptor. I ended up having to Bricklink a few more 1x6 light bluish grey tiles, but it looks 100x better now.
You'll have to take my word for it for now though...working late, not sure if I can get a pic up until tomorrow.
I started with just replacing the blue plates with grey on the wings, but ended up replicating the framed-style from the new TIE fighter. It took a few rebuilds to get things to line up, but I really like the results.
I started re-doing the bomber, but decided to put it off in hopes of an official LEGO update...or a perfect storm of extra free time and extra funds for a huge Bricklink purchase of light-bluish grey bricks. Which ever comes first.
