[email protected] is frustrating

3 days ago I placed two orders with [email protected] Belgium. The site is annoying enough to begin with because it's constantly moving you between French and English versions, despite you making a choice and remaining logged in. But more frustratingly was that it took me forever to get through the checkout. It kept saying "you have not completed all the details" and wouldn't proceed. I eventually worked out that I had to save my credit card details before being able to continue with the purchase, despite this appearing to be optional (why is there a tick box if it's mandatory?). I received a confirmation email for 1 of these orders immediately. Yesterday I received a "your order is despatched" email for the same order.

Today they were both delivered but I still don't have a confirmation email for the 2nd order, nor the despatched email, and yeah I've checked spam.

My only other order with S&H, a few weeks ago, was exactly the same. No emails, the order just turned up about 10 days after I placed it. They didn't even take payment until a further week went by.

Is this par for the course with S&H or have I been particularly unlucky?

As an aside, in that original order I asked for 5 of the collectable minifigure packs, and 3 of them turned out to be female robots. In one of today's orders I also asked for 5 packs, 3 of which turned out to be holiday elves! My luck with these things is constant if nothing else!

I have noticed this recently - these days boxes tend to have the same figure packed one after the other rather than spread out. So when the warehouse guy picks your five minifigs, chances are you are going to get duplicates.

Lego must know this - it is a shame they cannot open a few boxes and dump them into a larger box, then pick them at random.

I'm glad it's not just me.

I tried to make an order via [email protected] a month ago, and the entire website died when I'd just clicked to confirm my order.... I'm not sure what happened but I never received it! So tonight I've tried to use their call centre instead...I gave up after 52 minutes. Not very impressed.

So, it was YOU who killed their site by that time !!! :-)

I'm in the US, and for my recent orders, I have not received the confirmation email (but oddly enough, the "there's a problem with your order" (back ordered item), and the shipping notice). DH, using the same email provider, has received both confirmation and shipping notice. This really was an issue when I wasn't receiving confirmation emails for Bricks and Pieces orders!

    You are not alone.

Exactly! I had the same problem (US [email protected]) on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wasn't sure if the site was messed-up or if it had to do with the save credit card thing. I decided to do a phone order, but was concerned I wouldn't get the Lego Shop poly unless it was an online order and that by this time it would have been gone also. Well, what a surprise I got this morning. Walking out the door, I found my order AND it contained the little shop guy. Yea. All's well that ends well.

Sounds like they have a few issues, has anyone reported it? Any feedback from Customer Services?

They had a notice on the U.S. site Friday that they were having issues.
Promos were not loading in cart.
You would not receive e-mail notices etc.
    Worked fine on Saturday

Seen the issue with the CMFs selection I am receiving for some time now, but it would be nice if they dumped them into a bin especially since it is not like you can get 60 of them if you wanted via [email protected] (where picking from a whole box would be important). I do not hear anyone complaining about getting nothing but scarecrows and Tiki guys though..lol

at the beginning of the month, I ordered an XWing and the site said processing a few days later still.... the night before it arrived at my door.

Last night I went to check my order of last Wednesday and had to click the link 3 times... the first 2 times it showed 2 different orders in Yuan (or something else unintelligible to my ignorant eyes lol) including showing what their points values were for their respective usernames in the VIP block. lol...

me thinks the servers are a little overtaxed with the 2xVIP orders this month? lol

    ^ me too!

This has got to be a serious security breach as I have the other persons email, address, landline, mobile phone number and their date of birth!

Not happy about this at all - who has my information....?

The really sad thing is that so many people in IT depts don't have a focus on security.

Worse, the people above them don't either and don't want to pay for it.

And this is after endless stories of large companies being broken into with large amounts of personal information stolen.

Frankly, we need a better system for personal information than we have now.

Why don't you just call them to place an order?
