I scoped out a Meijer near me and found that they had marked a ton of sets down compared to the clearance stickers a few days ago. Looks to be a good day Friday.
  • oansunoansun Member Posts: 87
Yea, mine had the Bike Shop/Cafe on clearance and some Lego Movie stuff. Will be fun. And also: if you guys have Meijer's don't forget to sign up for mPerks (free app) and select the Toy rewards option. Every $70 you spend gets you $10 off for a future purchase.

Fantastic deals!!!! If you have a meijer by you today is the last day of the mperks clearance sale.

Sadly both Meijer's in my area didn't have much left on clearance...only a few Chima sets and some small City sets. Nothing that caught my eye.
  • draco1122draco1122 Member Posts: 10
I ended up getting 6 different architecture sets with the discounts. Got the Space Needle, White House, UN, Empire, Leaning Tower, and Big Ben. There were tons of Lego movie sets and TMNT sets left at the stores. 3 of the 4 stores need me had clearance items for it although at 2 of the stores they were not marked as clearance. The had the clearance price listed but not in read. It looked just like normal and I almost didn't even notice them except for the strange prices like 22.50 for Big Ben. Then I started taking them over to the scanners to see what was on sale. There were a few Hobbit sets also but no Star Wars or Super Hero sets on clearance.
  • oansunoansun Member Posts: 87
Mine (3 near me) had Ultra Agents Hurricane Helicopter (70164) for $25 and the totally not Bladerunner Spinner for $15. The Super Secret Police Dropship was apparently $33.99 on clearance, and they sold out before I got there (sadly). Had some Star Wars, a few Superheroes and lots of random city sets for great prices. Get there soon if you can! Plus I ended up getting 2 $10 rewards back. Meijer's can be a boon sometimes.

Mixels Series 3, considered to be "stocking stuffer clearance" by Meijer, have been further reduced to 49 cents each.

^ I would have bought all I could find at that price. Unfortunately for me, all I could find was nada.

We had a decent amount on clearance here, but I missed it all. Some dirty, red-neck, scoundrel, not-to-be-named reseller came through and swept up all the deals 6am Friday morning.

    *cough*cough @pharmjod‌ *cough ;)

This comment should not be taken seriously. I didn't want anything they had on clearance anyway. ;)

The first Meijer I went to I found 17 of these things. Then I decided to press my luck and visit three more locations and found a whopping total of two more at those stores, heh. Was fun though. 90% off Mixels? Yes please. Love the parts.

@Odindusk‌ if I lived in Louisville I'd have hit all 5 or 6 in the area :)

I went Friday early evening and the only things left were some Chima sets. I couldn't really tell what all was there to begin with, but seemed like stuff I wouldn't want.

Went to meijer in Michigan and found they're taking 25% off all clearance toys today. The only Hobbit set on clearance was BoFA, so I got it for $34!
  • pharmjodpharmjod Member Posts: 2,916
I wonder if this is across all stores or an unadvertised individual store promo.

Just swang by my local Meijer (Cincinnati)
Stopped by the clearance section to find a few sets on clearance PLUS an extra 50% the clearance price.

    Picked up:
    #70141 for $7.49 (regular price 19.99)
    #70142 for $11.25 (regular price 29.99)

Not too bad, there were a few more sets there as well. I left plenty for anybody in the area. Nothing too notable, mostly Chima and a few old Ninjago.

I'm in the Cincinnati area as well, and am looking for a good deal on the Mos Eisley Cantina set. I'm sure somewhere will have it on sale. Please let me know if you find one!

^ Yeah, Star Wars was not clearanced at all at my local store here in central Illinois.

    Cantina

I'm in Cincinnati too. Will let you know if I see any deals on the Cantina. Thankfully, Star Wars isn't a theme I collect.

This doesn't help you right now, but Wal Mart had the Cantina last week for shipping or pick up in store for $48.99. That is the lowest I've seen so far. If they did it once, there is a reasonable chance they will do it again so keep your eyes open there.

When I was in my local Meijer (Central Ohio) on Sunday, they had all of the remaining Hobbit and TMNT sets for 25% off. Plus, Hulk Buster was 25% off as well. Our Lego aisle at Meijer is more of a half aisle now after the reset in January, so there wasn't a ton to pick from.

I know this isn't that great of a markdown by it's self, but I also just got an email from Meijer with a $10 off $50 coupon (For Friday 3/20-3/21) to apologize for their network outage last month. So, in theory you could end up with $70 or so worth of TMNT / Hobbit Lego for about $42 + tax.

Or just use the $10 off $50 coupon and get some baseplates or sets that rarely go 20% off. Again, YMMV based on selection at your local store.

Coming out of my dark ages and living only a mile away from Meijer / Target / a Kroger that stocks Lego has been very detrimental to the family budget  At least the Lego retail store is about 7 miles away.

@grounded, I think he meant Hulk Lab Smash, not Hulk Buster (which is a 2015 set).  After 15% off for Meijer card holders last weekend, it was $31.89 before tax.
  • groundedgrounded Member Posts: 73
@exciter1 Thanks for the correction on the Hulk set. Can you tell I don't mess with the Superhero themes?

Confirmed last night that our Meijer had the 10 voucher when you spend 40. I didn't read the fine print, but these tags were only in front of the City and Creator sets.

Is anyone with a Meijer located nearby willing to pick up some inexpensive sets for me and ship????  Of course I will compensate for all costs and your time!!!!
  • TheLoneTensorTheLoneTensor Member Posts: 3,937
Wouldn't the compensation for time & shipping offset any of the recently mentioned discounts?
  • Ladder19JTKLadder19JTK Member Posts: 222
^ what I am looking for is minimal. PM me if you can help and I'll give you more info.

Finally got my Lonely Mountain set at a good discount! Stopped by Meijer this morning and they had the Hobbit sets at 25% off. So that alone made it $97.49, then I applied the other promotion for another $10 off. $87.49 + tax. Probably as good as I'll ever see on that one.

@Odindusk - Did the exact same thing this morning. The box wasn't in the best shape, but at $87.49 + tax on that set I was happy.

There's an mperks coupon for $9 off of 65. At least in my account

I combined the $10 Next Shopping Trip and the $10 off when you spend $50 to nab a few Creator sets I've been wanting. Worked out to be a pretty decent discount.

It was definitely still a splurge for my circumstances, but I've been really wanting that one.

Stopped by Meijer today and found they are doing additional 25% off clearance toys.

Some Lego already 50% off (so 62.5% off in total), mostly Chima.  Of note was the big #70145 mammoth reg $90 for $33.75.  Also had the Agents #70163 Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown reg $40 for $15+ tax.

On a side note, walked by the CMF bin which was picked clean with only about a dozen packs left, but still found 2 hot dog guys, amazing.

I thought I was misreading the sign when I saw that additional %25 off

Then I looked at the aisle and they barely had anything worth even looking at

I'll have to try another store
  • groundedgrounded Member Posts: 73
There's also $5 of $25 of Toys coupon on the 1 page Easter flyer in the store. Doesn't seem to exclude clearance. And a 10% off General Merchandise mPerk for this week's 2 day sale, if you can wait some items out.

That is amazing considering they are by far the easiest CMF to find, or at least up there on the top 5.

Along with the above, the store nearest me had #70808 at 50% off. I was hoping to see stickers on the pile of #70816 they have, but no luck. This store still hasn't put out the new sets (Pirates, Super Heroes, Ultra Agents), so hopefully they'll clearance some more stuff when they put them out.

No clearance running in central ohio that I can find. They did a huge clearance in Feb and most stores are just now getting reset and restocked to full looking shelves.
  • groundedgrounded Member Posts: 73
In the Easter circular that's preview-able on meijer.com, they're having a BOGO 40% off on City, Creator and Friends sets. Effective Sunday 3/29 through 4/4.

Not a deal, but I saw the Simpsons series 2 CMFs at my local Meijer tonight. Next to all those China poly bags they will have until approximately 2019. :)

^I saw two heavily squished left at mine today.  I was amazed that they were gone so fast.  Hold out until tomorrow and you can get the $5 off $50 mperks coupon.
