^ I've never seen them for $8 at the Chicago LDC, unless they've raised them recently.
  • nynohosnynohos Member Posts: 24
Yea my thoughts exactly. They usually go for $5.00/bag, but for the new ones the price was $8.00. I'm gonna go again tonight to check on em.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
    What, $8.00? Wow, that's crazy.
  • jediami65jediami65 Member Posts: 474
Are the LDC stores owned by TLG or the group that owns the Legoland parks?
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308

EBay TRU Store has #30224 Lawnmower (called Lawn mover on site I think):

^ What is special about the Ebay listing as TRU.com has had these in stock for a while ?

I think the $8 ones are like 40056

    I got a few 30300 at LDC.
  • nynohosnynohos Member Posts: 24
30300 still not available at the LDC here yet. 30187, 30188, 30226 and 30244 are all $8.00 a pop.
    Bought 2 30263 for $5.00 and 40057 for $8.00 just now tho.

Last I checked the thread was not about 'special' polybag's out. Just noticed them on eBay's TRUs site today and thought Id say something if someone did not know they were there, and it appeared that no one else recently has said anything about finding these... Sorry if I offended anyone with my mundane observation. It is good to know that TRus site has them as well.

The lawnmower is one of the cuter ones lately. It's designed so that the little blades rotate as it moves along (a relatively smooth surface anyway). I don't think it's gotten much love compared to some of the other polys out there.

No apology necessary. I was just wondering if I miss anything by buying from TRU.com vs TRU's eBay store.

I have found that TRU/Ebay has lower prices on some items than tru.com, you have to look I am not sure about other themes but I have seen this in City and SW sets.

US LBR has #5002041 and it is free to any kid age 6 - 14 while supply last if they build something from the store Lego Movies parts bin or simply ask the store associates. My son got it today and I thought it was a promotion ended on Monday.
  • nynohosnynohos Member Posts: 24
TRU now have 30282 super secret police enforcer polys in stock.

LDC have 30302 Spiderman poly in stock as well along with some 40052 if anyone's interested.
  • murphquakemurphquake Member Posts: 651
@nynohos which LDC are you finding these at?
  • nynohosnynohos Member Posts: 24
They are available at the LDC over at Schaumburg, IL
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
^Yup, #30187 (Creator car) and #30244 (Anakin's Jedi Interceptor) are a ridiculous $8. Spider Man is only $5.00
  • nynohosnynohos Member Posts: 24
i know $8.00/ poly bag is ridiculous imo. I was told tho when i was there on 01/29 that they had #30280 for sale but it was already sold out.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
#30280 Piece of Resistance is a freebie with $50 purchase at S@H right now.
  • nynohosnynohos Member Posts: 24
yup i got mine on saturday at LBR along with #60054 for 1/2 off. Now waiting on the sea cow on the 17th.

It is consistent with having #30225 in the Valentine's Day section :)

That makes so much more sense, than say doing this in a polybag.

*Freebie event at TRUs in Canada only last year.

  • ChrisbstmChrisbstm Member Posts: 151
Has anyone seen the super secret police polys at any of the TRU in San Diego? I've been doing my weekly checks, but no dice yet. They have a ton of tontos campfire at grossmont if anybody's interested

This probably means the new mini Batwing polys will be crazy hard to find.

I'm on the gulf coast, and they're not here at all. Too bad; cool looking set with a nice mini fig.

stopped by Schaumburg TRU today. Still have bout 20 of #30282 available.
  • emilewskiemilewski Member Posts: 482
There are no TRUs in CT that have #30282 yet (I keep checking). What I did find out this morning though was that if TRU does not have an item in stock locally but it is on the website, they can order it in the store to be shipped to your home and will waive the shipping. So they did that for me and I have four #30282 with free shipping on their way to me now. I just had to show them photo ID and give them a credit card.

^Great news! I had no idea. Still a limit of 4?
  • Thanos75Thanos75 Member Posts: 1,120
I found a big pile of #30210 's at TRU today. They were in the clearance section for $3.89. This set came out during my dark age so I missed out on it. Coupled with the $15 off of $50 it ended up a good deal.
  • emilewskiemilewski Member Posts: 482
^^ Yes, limit of four for the online order.
  • legogallegogal Member Posts: 754
Wow! $8. a polybag sounds like a rip off for most of them, which may have 20 to 40 tiny parts. Sometimes I feel like 3.99 is too much for so few parts. Guess it is time to start BLing some of the ones I like because 20 to 40 cents a part is just getting too high for the run of the mill parts in most of these bags. Now if the mini fig is someone special to me, that is a different situation because some figs are so expensive on BL.

I picked up a Chima (Ewar?) set for our boy today for Valentine's Day, and I didn't see any Tumblers in stock in the checkout lines. I was pretty bummed, too, because I'd love to have one of those. Also, I still can't find the Super Secret Police Enforcer here.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
Has anyone seen #30282 LM enforcer in toysrus yet? It showed that you could order for pickup in store a few days ago on the website but that option has since gone away. And it has yet to make an appearance at my store.
  • Penkid11Penkid11 Member Posts: 788
Judging by the release of the other two poly bags (Piece of Resistance at Lego S@H, Brand Stores/SSP Enforecer at Toys R Us), it may be best to assume that the Micro Manager Battle will be Target's polybag this Easter.

^^ I bought my 4 from Toys R Us in Alexandria, VA a week or so ago. Haven't seen them elsewhere, though.

Does anyone know when we will learn what the easter poly will be for sure?
  • jadeirenejadeirene Member Posts: 474
^ I found #30113 Stephanie's Bakery and #30187 Fast Car in the Target Easter section today. I would have picked up multiples of 30113 except that they were $5.59. It may be regional pricing, but I sure hope that this isn't the new price for all Friends polybags. 30187 was a more reasonable $3.48.
  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,730
Nice, that Bakery looks really good for parts. $5.59 is a bit silly though.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
Seems to be a trend with poly prices going higher and higher.
  • ACWWGal2011ACWWGal2011 Member Posts: 534
5.59? GUH! I hope it's not going to be the price everywhere! that's to much for the bakery set that's maybe 40 parts. the witch poly has 70 something parts with bigger parts and that was only 5 bucks
  • jadeirenejadeirene Member Posts: 474
A minor correction, #30187 Fast Car was actually $3.29.
  • CircleKCircleK Member Posts: 1,055
#30227 City Police Watercraft were in the Easter section at my local Meijer. It's a great little poly b/c you actually get two minifigures and a couple of $100 bill tiles.

It has 28 pieces. Almost 20 cents per piece.
