One of the TRU near me has a huge bin with a "Marvel Electro Polybag" sign on it.
    Full of cats -_-
(#30188, not actual cats. That would've been ok)

Welp, TRU's here in San Diego don't have them out, will confirm that the release date is 5/10, but won't confirm if they're part of a promotion or if they're in stock or even receiving them! I swear, they make it pretty difficult to buy from them sometimes (a lot of the time).

At worst Bricklink is now an option for the Electro polybag. Price peaked at $150 and was $100 last month and now $8.

Not if they were actually able to sell some before hand....or the people who bought them.
But if they can pay $150 for an electro polybag, maybe they are just ..."stupid rich."

I never believe that any sold for $150.  I think people fake the sale, pay the commissions as a cost to just drive up the price to about $20.  See $20 is a great deal compared to $150, so buy now...and buy 2!!!!

Saw the Go Cart at Target in MIlwaukee Area....since it was one that hasn't had polybags for months it was nice to see as I thought maybe Target was ditching the polybags.

Just got an email from TRU saying Electro will be given away with purchases of $30. Was this also how they were supposed to run the Rocket Raccoon promotion in the Fall? I hope they just let me buy a few again.

No Electros at my local TRU in SoCal,  but they did have 30275 Tie Advanced on the shelves...

  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
^ San Diego? Did they have the promo advertises?
  • teal93mr2teal93mr2 Member Posts: 1,017
My Five Below in Atlanta had the following:

    CMF Series 13
    CMF Simpsons Series 1
    Mixel Series 3
    #30311 Swamp Copter
    #30112 Friends

Still looking for that #30314 Wish Fountain!

^^ Culver City, I went yesterday so I don't know if they put up the promo ad. The employee there told me they received a box of Electros a week ago that immediately sold out and they haven't received a shipment since.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
Found the electro poly bag at my local TRU, but they didn't know about the promo and had to get it from behind the service desk. Bought #76041 since I could never find it at the LEGO store. Figured the free polybag made up for the $5 price increase.

My TRU had no problem just selling me the Electro for $3.99 each. They had signs for the promo everywhere.
  • vwong19vwong19 Member Posts: 1,191
San Diego mission bay tru has them for the promo and for sale at checkout. I can now relax until May 15.
  • ChrisbstmChrisbstm Member Posts: 151
San Diego La Mesa TRU also has them. Sold me two no problems!
  • teal93mr2teal93mr2 Member Posts: 1,017
My local TRU never got them in/all were bought up.  Probably going to grab one off eBay for once, price has stabilized around $9 shipped.
  • scotty12scotty12 Member Posts: 852
I was able to call my closest TRU (1hr45min away) since our local TRU closed and they willing to sell me some thru mail-order.  I only paid $3.99 plus tax...no shipping charges.  Got them the next day too!

TRU on Nicholasville Rd in Lexington KY was honoring the free electro poly with $30 purchase.  I asked if I could buy a 2nd one and the sales lady said yes, for $3.99 but then she just gave it to me for free!

They also had the Joker Bumper poly on the shelf.  I bought a few and it didn't ring up.  The sales lady said "this happened yesterday, I don't think we're supposed to be selling these".  But she got somebody else to come over and do something that allowed her to sell me the Joker poly too.

    She was very helpful!

Interesting if the Joker Poly is now out and available.

@Final_Sign - Well you fared better then me. I was there this morning, tried to buy them, and the manager came over and said they weren't allowed to sell them.

She then promptly stuck them all behind the front desk. I must not be as good of a sweet talker as you.

For those interested in this poly, according to the store system they aren't supposed to be on the shelf until October. The manager assumed they were for an eventual store promotion.

In CA, picked up two Electros: one free with the $30 Lego purchase and the other was purchased for $3.99.

The TRU ad signs directed the purchaser to take the Electro polybag to the register so it can be rung up as FREE. But they were nowhere to be seen as they were in a closed drawer in the CS area.

Thanks for all the info, Bricksetters!

Has anyone seen the Joker Bumper Car in So Cal yet?

@yys4u my local Lego store mgr. said now that Simpsons 2 are in stock, they don't see any more orders of Series 13 arriving. She suggested a visit to Legoland (on a shopper's pass) as they have plenty. I don't know if that's close enough for you but worth a try.

Well, Jokers bumper car is pegged for August 9th according to earlier info posted.
But someone just said they saw Jokers bumper car at a TRU, so not certain what is going on.

I'm glad I went ahead and got my Joker's bumpercars from Romania. No hassles. :)

That should line up with the release of the new line of DC sets, right? Jokerland and Deathstroke? It's weird that they'd included a polybag that had a figure that is appearing in the set itself. Anyway, might not be enough to get me to buy JL at TRU anyway; I'll get my VIP points for that one.

Thanks for the info! I do sometimes head down to Legoland, but probably wouldn't go for the CMF, I actually found them a few days ago at the Downtown disney Lego store!

I'm going to Disney in a couple days
Anything good down there I shouldn't miss?

Avoid the Finding Nemo live-action papier-mache puppet show in the Animal Kingdom. Uncomfortable seats, long line - just watch the movie on the lawn at the Grand Floridian.

If they still do Segway tours in Epcot before the park opens in the mornings - that was a lot of fun.

Unless you're just looking for Lego deals, then nevermind...

I tried to buy the five foot tall Buzz Lightyear at the Downtown Disney. No luck. I don't think they realized I was serious.

    Ha!
I did mean Lego but the advice is appreciated
Although given the fact that my 2 year old LOVES Nemo I don't think we are going to get away skipping that one- and of course we are skipping Epcot and the far superior aquarium "ride"

They must have received more as I think someone reported the Schaumburg store sold out of them

I checked two weeks ago because of seeing Electro available online. They had no idea what I was talking about. Then they grabbed the manager and he said they were going to put those out next week, but they couldn't sell any to me. I check back the next week (still no signs for a promo) and once again they had no idea what I was talking about. They grab the manager again and said we don't have any of those...( the same person that told me they were going to put them out the next week). So here it is a few weeks later and they still don't have them. Yet another reason why I hate shopping at TRU. Looks like bricklink might be the way to go for me too just to avoid them.

Stop at a TRU today, they only had them as give-a-way with a $30 purchase.  They weren't available for individual sale.   They said if they has some left after the promo period, then they would sell them alone.

My TRU in Indiana had 5 or 6 Electro bags in a bin mixed in with the zillion Dareth polys. (No #30275 TIEs though.) Bought a few, left the rest for the next person. They let me buy with no questions asked. (BTW would be happy to trade one for the more recent Ahsoka fig. PM if interested.)
  • matticus_bricksmatticus_bricks Member Posts: 651
My TRU evidently still hasn't recieved the Electro polys yet. Weird considering theromotion last week, but then again they seem to be slow on things. They seem to have just put out a box of CMF Series 12 by the customer service desk.

Bellevue, WA TRU wasn't letting the Electros go without doing the $30 purchase. Picked up a #30275 while I was there.

It's comical how inconsistent TRU is with their promo policies. I bought the Hydra Showdown ($22) and a few extra Electro figs for the kids to get to $30. No issues at all.

No Electro poly bags at mine, but they did have the Tie Interceptor. They also had 20+ Bricktober Theater sets all of a sudden. Typical Toys R Us experience here.  :)

The lady I asked at TRU even made it a point to tell me it's $30 before tax, too, not $29.99, lol.    I said, "I know....pretty clever since your prices jump to $34.99 after the $29.99"  I didn't buy anything so I didn't get the figure.
