I saw a turkey....then it dawned on me that I was just looking in the mirror.

My TRU has had only the Tree, which you had to spend $20-30 for a free one. Other than that, they've only received TLR Tonto campfire...nothing since. It's getting frustrating!
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
They are all online at toysrus.com. Why don't you order them?
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
$15 off $60, so you probably only have to buy a couple at their red hot prices. ;o)

TRU is 15% off of one item now. Works on the unimog if anyone is still looking for one.

Found 8 Lake Guard Polys at TRU... Left half of them on the shelf... Since I was there to buy Movie Minifigs...

My local Targets have overabundance of 30225 Coast Guard Seaplane polybags (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=30225-1) at the Valentine's section.

Nothing says "Do something, our relationship is sinking" better than giving your significant other(s) Coast Guard Seaplane for Valentine ;)

^Awesome. It's exciting to get a new polybag to stare at in the checkout line. Getting tired of that TIE Fighter.

^ Just to be clear, I did not see this one at the check out line. This poly was spotted at their seasonal sections, which for this time of year are devoted to Valentine's Day.

Meh. I was hoping for something new. This has been available at TRU.

Don't have a good yawn and a stretch while flying that thing, you'll get your hands cut off.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
Ugh, another recycled poly? I was also hoping for something new.

But if I know Target it will end up at checkout for years.

i saw the tag today, but not the actual one yet. I got this earlier this year at Toys R us. also the tag number is wrong, it said 30025

wait - so it's 30025, which is the clown fish, or is it a helicopter? The clown fish would be a nice appearance at Target.

Do you recall what is was priced? Their other polys are up to $4.19/$4.39.

I saw this at a Target in Phoenix. The shelf tag listed 30025 but it is the #30225 City Sea Plane. The price was $3.49.

I did not pay too close attention to the tag. IIRC, it said LEGO $3.49. I was more surprised by the choice of the polybag. Last year they had Friends poly (picnic?) for Valentine, Witch for Halloween, and Christmas Train for Christmas. I could not figure out the connection between the coast guard plane and Valentine's day. :D

I did a quick look at the surrounding shelves, this was the only one with the word LEGO on the tag.

I'm glad they're down to $3.49 from the usual $3.99!

It's actually not a bad poly for that price.

Lately they'd been doing 2-3 polys for each holiday. I'll check a few Targets and report back.

Polys have been a real drag for me lately. I think I was just spoiled by the greatness of the Ghost #30201.

EDIT: I forgot about Mirkwood Guard #30212. That was a great one too.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
I think someone already mentioned it, but I saw the Harry Potter lab polys at one Target today.

    Where were they located? Checkouts?
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
@binaryeye Yes, at one store that I saw. I don't know if this is widespread or not.

^ Ya eveytime I've come across a random Lab in Target they immediately take it for salvage.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
I wasn't talking about the Harry Potter polys, that info is still good.
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
btw, the number on my receipt for HP polys is 204000291 . Not sure if that's the DPCI?
  • BeardedCastleGuyBeardedCastleGuy Member Posts: 127
@margot One thing Target is sometimes doing is 'recycling' poly's from the holiday section (or one's that had been there) into their generic check lane SKU# by changing the upc to be part of that DPCI.
Also, yes that 204 # is the DPCI, generally any LEGO set will have a number starting in 204 00 the last four are product specific #'s.

@all I was going to mention I had seen the 30225 seaplane but am a bit late in that regards.

^I've heard of Open Heart surgery, but Open Air surgery is probably taking it a bit too far. Get off the road!

Apologies If this has already been posted, but The Brick Fan has some news regarding the Lego Movie Super secret police enforcer polybag.
You can see for yourself here.

"The LEGO Movie Super Secret Police Enforcer (30282)
It now looks like how we will be able to get one of the new The LEGO Movie polybags that we’ve reported a few weeks ago. Toys R Us has listed the Super Secret Police Enforcer Polybag (30282) on their website for $4.99 each. They are currently not available to purchase online just yet but they do have it checked for being sold in stores. Like we’ve mentioned before, call your store and check if they are indeed available in stores before you go there. There’s still no word yet at this time on how the Micro Manager Battle (30281) will be distributed. Thanks to Clutch from Bricks on the Dollar for the heads up."

It's in the polys in the wild thread. But it's so cool it deserves it's own thread. :-)
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
In that case, Mods, please delete this thread.

Checked 5 of the TRU around my area (Chicago,IL) and non of them have any. Says it shows active in their system but nothing on the floor or warehouse.

Usually takes a few weeks after showing up online to be in store. Although you would think they would want them out around when the movie comes out.
  • nynohosnynohos Member Posts: 24
yea exactly. Any word on the supposedly pre purchase movie tickets polybags?
  • prevereprevere Member Posts: 2,923
So, is a polybag we see for a split second and it's gone? Or one that seems to multiply and take over the store rack?
  • margotmargot Member Posts: 2,308
Good question. It seems like they all multiply and take over the store rack lately. What's the last hard to find poly you can remember?

  • nynohosnynohos Member Posts: 24
The new polys are nice but kinda feel like LDC is jacking up them prices. They go for $8.00/bag.
