Want list suggestion

chromedigichromedigi Member Posts: 344
It would be useful for there to be a way to indicate the quantity wanted of an item in your want list.

I've uploaded the set list from a collection I am negotiating to purchase into my want list, but there's no way to indicate multiples.

For that matter, if you needed to obtain a number of some particular set for an elaborate build like the monster Helm's Deep that was recently posted, you couldn't track them in the wanted list, while you were in the course of gathering them.

I suggest you use the notes field for that purpose. I could add it to the interface but I don't want to complicate it.

Have you seen the new Brickset? If you're interested drop me a line and I'll send you the URL. I'm not quite ready to go public yet.

Reviving an old thread rather than making a new one.

I don't know if this is at all doable but would be a nice feature if you could set up price alert messages (maybe emails) if a set you have on your wanted list becomes available at the 30% plus discount mark from one of the affiliate sellers.

It's on the to-do list, probably for the autumn/winter.

It would also be nice if you could have multiple wanted lists like you do on Amazon.

Is there a way to filter the items on the wanted list to those that are available anywhere other than Amazon (mainly marketplace) & Ebay - just thinking in terms of if I'm directing someone to it if they are looking to buy me something (thinking xmas coming up) then it would be easier for non FOLs to be able to see only stuff that is widely available, then they are more likely to follow the links and boost the site's income.

You can create a query to show just those that are currently available at [email protected], and then add wantedby-shib to the end of the URL. Would that work?

Either I'm doing something wrong or that doesn't work - the wantedby-shib seems to override the query (despite it still showing the query number in the URL

OK -- I'll check it out.
