Disney princesses, Friends-style
Those are the only new themes, I believe.
I'm quite excited for that too :-))
I am happy of the potential for another girls line. Thar is very exciting. I am bummed, though, that it is Disney Princess. I 'get' why it makes sense, but I felt Cars never did well because they aged out of the market. Cars is a younger boy theme, and Lego tends to hit at auto tut 5-6 for the average kid... That is about when I have seen people are often aging out of Cars and Princess. With older girls, they will have no interest in that.
Mixels, I had forgotten about, and my son might like, but it sounds like more an action figure type theme.
The Lego movie... I guess I was equating that completely to Lego city line, as opposed to a new theme.
Simpsons is sounding like that one set.
Well, what a bummer. :-/ I guess I will be hoping for anything else come summer. Sounds like Ninjago will be the line next year for my son, and I will raid my stash. Maybe grab a last Galaxy Squad set.

I like what they are doing with future Collectible Minifigure Series. The Lego Movie and the Simpsons should be interesting. Hopefully the Simpsons house won't be lame like the Harry Potter Escape From Privet Drive set.
@Brickarmor No, I didn't mean all released in one set quite like that (though certainly great for the consumer who wants them all). What I meant was just like a regular CMF series set, but one dedicated to the disney princess/hero/villain characters done as minifigs.
But as i say, no more than a wishful dream... of course, disney dogma dictates that "I just gotta' believe! Papa, I just gotta' belieeeeeeeeve!"
Hhhnnnnnnngggggghhhhhhh*
*the sound of intense 'believing'*
(Occasionally mistaken for rectal malfunction).
:oP
"Look, Papa! I'm believing! I'm belie-ooops, no I'm not... I'm... just... gonna go change..."
I am hoping I am wrong. Such a line could be really cool if the target age was much higher. even if lower, though, They could make a very fun set at the $99 price point.
Just not the cool set I would want. ;-)
Plus, they could include the awesome sleeping suite.
So much trans blue to look forward to...
Here's hoping Lego exercise creative licence and we get both :-)
If of course the rumour is true!
I'd like a new Polar Bear/Penguins
The last polar stuff was released under an 'Arctic' label, so maybe they'll do something similar.

I love collecting Lego animals... More for my zoo.
first half of the year: police/fire
second half of the year: one-off theme (coast guard, mine, marina, space, etc)
I really find that sad. Not the arctic part, that there is nothing new.
I want fun full themes like Monster Fighters, Alien Conquest, Power Miners. Something.

I am very curious what other LOTR/Hobbit sets will come out? I hope many many more for years and years to come, but not too soon, and not all at once as it will otherwise be too much to collect all.

I just checked some pictures and older news items on brickset and elsewhere regarding The Lego Movie, I can very well imagine, that this will be the huge new Lego theme incorporating many themes, that many people might regard as separate. A theme that includes both yellow as well as 'fleshy' minifigs from different eras (present, futuristic, and past), with a jazzy brick melange that mashes up a whole bunch of settings and building styles.
Perhaps not something you feel inclined to completely collect (if you have that urge) but just take your pick.
I am looking forward to that movie, and what follows 'brick wise'.
As for LOTR, if there is another wave, it will likely be next summer.
I am not sure why, but I was under the impression that Lego Movie would be basically 'city'. Watching the trailer, though, it does look like there is some potential there. I will keep my mind open on that and wait for sets.
