Comment post submission doesn't trim trailing white space

Was just wondering if this was intentional. Noticed it when I made a post and hit enter a couple times to put in another paragraph and then decided not to. When submitting there were 4-5 lines worth of white space in my post. Edited it to delete them. Just thought it was odd that it didn't trim on its own. Not that it is a big deal was just curious.
