    Holy Pink Batman!

    Wow. That's impressive.

I wonder if they made an interior.

^ There is this picture of the interior

It is a pretty impressive changeover. Too much pink for me to look at for too long but there are some neat things done in it. They used the trans blue garage door panels hung sideways as what looks like shower doors. Thought that was pretty cool.

I think they use that same thing for the shower doors in Olivia's house.

This makes my pink Haunted House easier on the eyes. Can the Friends "minifigures" fit through the front entrance?

^ You're joking! This is more of a Haunted House than the original!

Its certainly scary...all it needs is a witch with an oven in the back and Hansel and Gretel walking in the front door.

Hey wait a minute. What is Peter doing at that back hotel doorway with that blonde? Anna is standing in front of the building holding a knife!!!! This is deeper than it appears on the surface.

It would be great to see all the modulars done in this manner. Get to work guys.

    Just to refresh your memories:

It doesn't look too bad now does it?
  • BrikingBriking Member Posts: 768
    ^ Yes, it does!

@Pitfall69 I like it, it's different. But the color scheme reminds me of Good and Plenty candy and I hate those.

That'd be so funny if LEGO released the Cafe Corner like this. I'm sure it would be a slap in the face for many AFOL.

Ah, must have missed that on the first look. Thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah, I don't like those either. Again, I didn't say it wasn't hideous, just not as bad as that CC.

That HH looks even more spooky in pink.

I totally read that as 'Japanese Love Hotel'.

Maybe that is why the doors are smaller than the Friends minidolls

I think this "Hotel" is in the bad part of town. Why are they all loitering out on the street? And how come two of them are out there brandishing knives? The 18-99 designation starts to make more and more sense the more I look at this...

It could probably do with some of the red light bricks for window displays.

This is horrific abuse of a set I wish I could have!

If there was an RSPCA for Lego sets I'd call this cruelty in and be the first to get in line to adopt it and restore it to normality.

I got the same first impression because "love Hotels" are so common in Japan. Must admit that seeing colors like this in a typical Japanese neighborhood would jsut blow me away! Definitely too much, but the builder was making a point by using such a glaring color scheme.

I would replace the red pieces with something less clashing and use more white for sure. But then I would choose a different theme for my Friends hotel and show Friends doing lots of cool gal things...with their Friends! Whatever....
