If we're getting Martian Manhunter in a poly, maybe GL will be a future promo.
Well not kill but certainly deconstruct someone.... :)

I really dislike how LEGO renders add that sheen and make regular gray look like pearl dark gray or silver and get my hopes up for awesome parts... like those Technic fairings.
What is the trans-red piece in between the ships?
Is the guy with the black hood called 'Dark Curler', terror of the winter olympics?
haaarrrrd, haaaarrrd, haaaarrrrd
I am very surprised these characters made it to the big screen and now lego but am very very excited about it as i was a obscure marvel hero junkie in the 70's-80's.
The guy with the dish thing is Ronan the Accuser. Hardly a rip-off of some DC character and is perhaps older than Orion thus making Orion the rip-off of Ronan. Ronan is a Kree who's 1st appearance was in Fantastic 4 #65 in 1967 created by the man himself Stan Lee!
I was definitely deeper on the DC side, more of X-books-only for Marvel stuff, so I guess that's why I never heard of those guys.
Other than Rocket Raccoon. I am pretty sure I still have all my original issues of that somewhere. Right there along with Micronauts and Atari Force. If Atari Force was ever released in LEGO, I would probably never get to own them, because I would die of joy just seeing the first high-res photos. I suppose that's how some people feel now about GotG.
Never mind, found the edit.
It's like the Ultimate Spider-Man 2014 sets, they are not based off the movie but are rather based on the comic book storyline close to the film.
It Sucks!
Still hope they come out with Fantastic 4 in the years to come.

Top right.
Then, what with this, Bart's recent leg printing, and the chima elephant, LotR fans are left dreaming of what might have been... :oS

far right, you can make out a Lego fig photographer, in an octagon with the S visible and underlined, in front of the GOTG sets. I could be misinterpreting it, but to me it looks like a warning involving photography. You can also see Storm better if you zoom in the same pic. I'm curious to see how the cape's attached.
If that PoS in that set is supposed to be the Blackbird it is just that a PoS.
That sentinel is a disaster, though. I'm not sure who thought that design was acceptable, especially in light of the really amazing bipedal robot builds they've done across other themes.
BlackbirdBluebird the more I like. There are some newer pics that show it can hold three figs in the front and it looks like there may be some cargo space in the rear as well. The flick fire missle section in the rear folds down as well giving it a much sleeker appearance. It's not exactly what I wanted, but much more than I expected when I heard the piece count was three hundred and some odd pieces.Maybe the X-Men have really dropped off in popularity since I was younger (monthly comic sales rankings suggest otherwise), but LEGO really seems to be dropping the ball in regards to this particular section of the Marvel Universe.
