About these fakes, I forget where I saw the article but a fake Spider-Man from about 4 years ago had Lead in the figure. I'm sure we all know what Lead does to you in large quantity's. Ebay UK is flooded with them, almost the entire first page of "Lego Hulk" are fakes, some as always are being advertised as being Lego. Great to see they are making Storm and the late 80's early 90's Magneto. Here's hoping for a Sentinel, Beast, and Brown Costumed Wolverine...

Id have perhaps liked a different villain before getting a new Magneto costume, but he still looks cool. Storm is a great addition, and from the look of the figure on the top of that box we may be getting a Cyclops figure.

And, if you look at the logo on the other page, you can make out a few letters but thats definitely Guardians of the Galaxy!

Too little...need to see more....X-men and Guardians of the Galaxy.....
  • GeddesGeddes Member Posts: 574
I hadn't noticed any of those. Hell of a spot on the Cyclops figure

I saw two of the new Batman sets at Walmart tonight.
If my wife hadn't been with me, I would've got them. She recently found out about me pledging $160 to the Mega Man board game Kickstarter, so I'm "grounded" :lol

There's pictures of the Sentinel set with a cowled Wolverine floating around now.

^thanks for the tip. Looks wonderful AND affordable. Really dig the coloring on Wolvie and the Sentinel.
  • FrictionPinFrictionPin Member Posts: 144
^^Thanks bub! That fig rocks! BTW, are you still grounded?
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
Soon as I saw it, my X-men loving heart skipped a beat. Lego did Wolverine justice with the classic brown and yellow, full mask and all. Can't wait to add him to the collection.
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
But the Sentinel is weak. I think they missed it by going too small to hit the price point. And it has flick fire missiles lol!

What's the release date for the Cap set? I really like it, and I promised myself I would get it as soon as it's out.

    Sentinel and the Wolverine.

posting it as it's preliminary photo, and there are no watermarks.

As well there will be 3 sets from Guardians of the Galaxy!

I don't particularly care for the look of the Sentinel, but I like the Wolverine minifigure.

I'd love a colossus Big Fig...he was always my favorite x-man
  • CircleKCircleK Member Posts: 1,055
I can't wait to see some final pics a on the XMen set b/c I'm honestly a little worried. Supposedly this set is in the $50/sub 400 piece range (according to catalog speculation on eurobricks), yet it includes a brick built Blackbird and Sentinel and a guesstimated four figs???

Doesn't seem like enough bricks to pull that off. I really hope the blackbird is done in a respectful size. I was picturing something larger than the Avengers Quinjet.
  • y2joshy2josh Member Posts: 1,996
That Sentinel is a bit small, but I honestly wouldn't mind it if not for the terrible head. Hopefully they get that straightened out before the set releases.

And as swell as it is to get a new X-Men set, it's incredibly disappointing that they're doing variations on TWO existing figures when there are so many excellent characters to choose from (even though I greatly prefer this Wolverine to the original).
  • ninjagolightlyninjagolightly Member Posts: 140
A nine year old could design a better Sentinel than that. Surely that can't be what it actually looks like.

But if those parts are magenta, I'm totally on board.
  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,729
Hopefully it is just a placeholder/prototype for the Sentinel and the final product will be designed better. ^^and agreed, the new Wolverine is most welcome, especially with a cowl, but another Magneto just leaves me scratching my head.
  • GeddesGeddes Member Posts: 574
Lego must think kids only know so many mutants! They missed a trick with the xmen, they will see that one day
  • Gooker1Gooker1 Member Posts: 599
Hopefully the line will continue to get better as it goes on. Stinks the arent perfect right away, but I remember the first Slave 1 compared to the 2nd abd 3rd iteration of it.
  • BeavBeav Member Posts: 303
Wolverine with the cowl makes this a must have for me, but the Sentinel in that pic is very disappointing. I'd like to hope that the final build will look better but I think it'll be the same.
  • fizicystfizicyst Member Posts: 72
Have you guys seen the pics of the new DUPLO batman and joker? So now there will be a duplo, junior and regular line for super heroes.

They didn't take a picture of the whole page because that would show the watermark.

Not much to say, I want Cyclops.

I've read in various places that DC Sets next year were to be Batman/Superman and that they have been pushed to 2016. However I'm not sure what if anything is supposed to fill the gap in 2015. Has there been a definitive answer on that yet?

It also I presume tells us the deals with DC is continuing past this year.

I'm still disappointed that so far in 2014 the Marvel Sets outnumber the DC and that Marvel have a Second Wave coming along later in the Year. I hope it isn't a sign of things to come that DC is constantly behind Marvel - there are a considerable number of DC Figures I'm holding out for!
  • luckie_reubsluckie_reubs Member Posts: 299
There are a few DC figs I want, too. I'd like to complete the Justice League, and I'd really like a Green Arrow. That means I need a Cyborg and a Green Lantern. It'd also be nice to get a Martian Manhunter and a Green Arrow. I don't know how those would work into a DC set, so I guess I kind of hope for a surprise DC Superhero CMF series!

a surprise DC Superhero CMF series!

    That would be awesome.
I have almost all of the JLU Mattel figures and TLG has so much it can produce, for so many figures they have a lot that would need just a little change from some current figures.

would Lego be able to produce just minifigures or does another company have the license to figures on their own
similar to the problem that Lego had when they sold the Star Wars figures on their own and Hasbro I believe has the license to do just figures

It probably depends. I imagine there might be exclusive licensing agreements for articulated figures of CERTAIN super heroes, but obviously there isn't an issue with some of the major ones like Batman, because if I'm not mistaken several different companies already make and sell individual Batman figures without any kind of legal repercussions.

With that said, I imagine that you're more likely to run into exclusive licensing issues with individual media than with a franchise as a whole. So as an example, even if no company has exclusive rights to make and sell Batman action figures, there might be a company with exclusive rights to make and sell The Dark Knight Rises action figures.

I doubt they would sell them at £2.49 or $3.99 either. Selling superhero CMF of popular characters would kill off their sets sales. CMF series of less popular characters might sell to the more hard core fans, but not the masses.

...Here's hoping for a Sentinel, Beast, and Brown Costumed Wolverine...

My god, I think I'll try for the lottery! I've been commenting on other sites, but months ago I guessed it was the Blackbird or another reserve X-Jet, then I guessed about Wolverine, Beast and a sentinel. For those who want to know, the descriptions of the blunt nose and one cockpit indicate that the X-Jet comes does from the comics, the best run of X-Men IMHO, albeit scaled down somewhat. I thought it sounded familiar when I first read the info. These are not my pics, found them on the Internet, the exterior: http://static4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100409035829/x-men/images/5/56/126big-SR71.gif, and the interior: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-W49w6lYXQ5A/UWdipc9mUyI/AAAAAAAAMas/Knj5smw7xOk/s1600/XMen1260001.jpg. Really hyped up for Marvel, may it long continue.

I don't know that at all. I saw some DC Superhero chibis at Target the other day, and I'd prefer to have them as Lego figures. I don't go to ComicCon, and I'm not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on those exc

I would think that, too. But we're getting CMF sets of the Simpsons in the spring, and CMF sets would be a good way to introduce alternate costumes/costumes from other eras. They could also get guys like Green Arrow or Cyborg out in sets like and also more of the villains.

    ^YEAH!

In March, hopefully I will be getting: #10243 Parisian Restaurant, #71006 Simpsons House or #70810 MetalBeard's Sea Cow.

    + Double VIP Points
    + Martian Manhunter minifigure

    AWESOMENESS!

Maybe in contrast to the Simpsons CMFs, we'll get sleepy-eye Batman, Superman, etc in the packs.

Looking at the (US) March calendar, it seems to be all about DC. The aforementioned Martian Manhunter promotion, The big image at the top is the Steamroller set, the club meeting is DC, and they will be having a promotion where if you take a picture with cardboard cutouts and post on facebook, you can get a free poster. The calendar also has an image (in two places) of a new Batman minfig - Looks kind of like the one from the Riddler Chase, except the black and gray are reversed on the torso.

The calendar says that a new exclusive LEGO set will be revealed at Brick Cascade on the 8th-9th. The cardboard cutout/poster promotion starts on the 10th. Anyone else think this revealed set could be one with the new Batman and the Green Lantern that has been rumored for this year? And it may be shown on the free poster?

I heard from a trusted source that we will be getting a Lego Direct Batman Tumbler:

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=g-subs-u&v=aGw5jwBlcxY

Lego is gonna break even more banks this year...
  • RomanticWarriorRomanticWarrior Member Posts: 248
That is interesting. Hopefully by "UCS," it's like the 2006 Batmobile with no minifigs in it. I wouldn't want to miss out on Green Lantern or somebody by not buying it. Otherwise, it will be an easy pass for me.

You see, the problem with all these Batman-centric sets is that it assumes that Batman needs to be rescued by these people with powers. MAYBE the Flash could you use Batman, but Aquaman sure doesn't need Batman (especially if they're in the Arctic), and Green Lantern can get out of just about any mess if the ring is fully charged.

That said, if it's one more fig that will get me closer to a Justice League (we're just missing Cyborg now, right?), I'm on board.

Has double points in march been confirmed? No mention of it on the march calendar unless I didn't see it.

Picked up the new super hero sets at the Lego store in San Diego this morning.

They had the two new DC sets and the Marvel sets.

^ Reminiscent of the 'Quinjet' in content. The little ship, the flying person, big main ship piloted by girl-fig, etc. Not a criticism, just an observation of what it immediately brought to mind when i saw it. Probably smaller, though - depending on how much of the back end is out of shot.

Come ON LEGO, give me a Green Lantern that does not cost $200!!!!!

I am really in need of a Green Lantern to complete my JLA of LEGO.
