Any Spidey set should include a couple of SNOT bricks for him to stick to the wall. Easy playability.

As for the current sets, getting C list characters like MODOK and Taskmaster before getting ones like Daredevil, Cyclops and Jean Grey is a travesty.
Anyone else tired of getting only figs on the aftermarket? LEGO please make CMF and D2C superhero sets only.
For Spider-man, vehicles are fine, but they need to make more realistic ones like the Bank truck. They could do a nice size Subway train set for $100-$120. Or the Brooklyn Bridge, NY City Taxi Cabs and other locations. Then just add Spidey against his rogues and bam a set that appeals to everyone.
The Hydra tank isn't as bad as I thought it was from the other pics.
The lab set is $60 CAD, so that should be around £39.99-49.99.

Does anyone have an idea if we can expect a second wave of either DC or Marvel Sets next year. I'm assuming not - and that the split DC sets in 2013 were only due to Man of Steel coming out and those being delayed until the movie.
I also noticed that there's one more Marvel Set 2014 than DC - have there been any rumours to a 6th DC set?
The Marvel bank heist set is not bad, but the others.. it does look like the designers phoned it in when designing those others.
I will say I am surprised that no one has suggested the Danger room as an Arkham type large set for Marvel.. Unless I just missed it in the previous comments. But really how many gadgets does Marvel have? Most are super heroes (or Villains) with superpowers, not like Batman and most of the villains in the Batman universe that are really mortal and have to rely on vehicles and weapons to do their dirty work. I mean Spiderman does not really need any vehicles, neither do Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, etc etc. This I'm guessing does also put the designers in a bind to make creative enough sets for Marvel. At least that is one theory.
But seriously, I almost mentioned the Danger room yesterday and think it has a lot of potential. For the exact reason you think it would not make sense, I think it would because of the infinite battle scenarios you could play out. IMHO it would make a great larger set, the bigger it is the more immersion you could achieve.
If Lego ever expanded out the DC side of the Universe I would KILL for a Blue Beetle and a Bug! Indeed it's on my list of things I'm going to try and build for my own MOC. DC also as the Watchtower Base as another option for a big building set.
Beyond the Fantastic Four and their Fantastic Car (which would be a great set) I can't think of any iconic vehicle left in the Marvel U - other than the X-men's Blackbird which would be a major issue to build as I think there would be image rights with the plane.
It ended up I paid for 3 custom Figures for my (still to be build) DC U Moc as I fear there won't be a lot of figures released and Supergirl, Miss Martian and Kyle Raynor probably wouldn't figure any time soon.
Cool minifig though. Wouldn't be a stretch to put him in a Halloween display somehow.

Others will find these useful to complete sets of superheros that the kids can trash.
That opinion might not be popular but thats how i feel about it.
The guy wholesaling it is pushing it but if someone wanted a few extra compatible figs for the kids then no probs imo
Given that counterfeiters have no qualms about breaching regulations or laws. There is every possibility that the manufacturing process of counterfeit products may also make use of equally law-breaching (i.e hazardous) materials.
Personally, I steer clear of knock-offs (even legitimate 'works with' bricks) on the simple principle of not wanting to pollute my Lego collection, but if that wasn't a bother, there is the lack of any genuine guarantee that what you are handling has passed any health regulations.
There is a world of difference between making a custom figure for personal use and trying to sell figures using licensed material.
I think it was inevitable given the minifig boom that has rocketed the prices of most figures, people will always be looking to undercut that with fakes that cost half the price or, in the case of some of the SDCC fakes, 1/45th the price. Unless you're a hardcore collector, a lot will get the cheap fig that looks nearly identical.
It's sad, lego don't control the prices of the figures (although they sure don't help matters), but I think things like this were always likely to happen.
