And also, I don't think a Bantha would be classified as a fighter ;-)

I hope they redo the comic con luke and Maul now since this Superdeformed series is going to up the price on the exclusives.

Curse you shock troopers. I had decided not to buy the gunship but...but.... I must have those shock troopers.

Elite corps troopers, Chewbacca, new R2 already turning up on ebay! Where are they coming from?!
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,555
I've seen them a few times in reasonably large numbers on BL coming from a seller in one of the ex-Yugoslavia countries. I cannot remember if he is from Slovenia or Croatia.
  • deepdalelegenddeepdalelegend Member Posts: 354
They are being listed by a seller in this country who usually sells lots of SW minifigs. Must have bought a load of them!
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,555
Probably. On the BL forums, you occasionally see a note about someone having them as a custom lot in a store, they get bought and the forum message deleted. So there appears to be little trace.

    'Must have' figures!

Noticed the Nijago kai fighter comes with the Hexagon flag piece in red, useful for building Obi-wan's jedi interceptor. As the maroon ones are really hard to find!

I hope they do more, including Vader's Tie Fighter.

I'd gladly welcome it, but I'd be surprised to see Vader in such a cheap set.

If they make more, I'd be happy with any one of:
    Sandcrawler with Jawa
    Bantha with Tusken Raider
    AT-AT with General Veers
    Death Star with Tarkin
    Luke's landspeeder
    Boba Fett & Slave 1

Would be a must for me

If you watch the movie Obi wan's fighter had light grey wing flaps with only the leading (20% of total area) edge in the dark red/maroon color.
I bricklinked the extra parts to make Anakin's yellow copy and Obi's Dark red fighter not too long after building the Secura green verison.

Chowren Toys is reporting that the UCS Sandcrawler (75059) will be released next year. What are your guys' thoughts on that? thebrickfan.com/breaking-lego-star-wars-ucs-sandcrawler-75059-rumors/

^ Eh. I just can't get excited about it. Just as the SSD feels like a pile of grey, this will just feel like a pile of brown. Maybe if it has an exciting interior - but that is not the focus for UCS. The source material is the problem here -- the Sandcrawler is about as utilitarian as it gets. Even exciting figs wouldn't rectify this one for me.

Awesome, me like teh brown box.

As long as you lower your expectations you may be happy. It will be nothing like mb_bricks version!
  • vitreolumvitreolum Member Posts: 1,406
Figured that from the price point. :)
  • KingDaveKingDave Member Posts: 974
If it is more 'play' than 'display' I will be happy. A bit like a sail barge but 2.5 times bigger is what I'm hoping for.
  • LobotLobot Member Posts: 1,030
It seems odd that it doesn't have a '10' prefix if it's a UCS set, but the price seems too high for a System scale....?
  • rancorbaitrancorbait Member Posts: 1,842
I couldn't understand a word he said, I just wanted to see how the blasters worked :-)

^^ Nicely surprised that the new blasters seem to work well. Thanks for posting it, I never would have thought to watch any of these type of review videos to look at the blasters.

I like the sound of a UCS Sandcrawler, as long as they treat it as a playset and a display piece, with an attractive exterior but a playable interior. That would be perfect in my opinion.

We still need a UCS Slave I though!

^Your wish has been granted in 2014!

    UCS Spring = Sandcrawler
    UCS Fall = Slave-1

^ If that turns out to be true, then it will be a good year, and I'll buy both on release day.

It was French, I don't speak it fluently but I did pick up a couple "the" "look" and "small". Good news is the hairdryers of doom shoot well.

Eh... What happened to the rumors of the UCS AT-AT? That was the one I was looking forward to. Though I'm intrigued by the idea of a UCS Sandcrawler, but only if it includes Jawas and droids. There's got to be lots of brick built droids.

No UCS AT-AT then. Gutted if that turns out to be true. #8129 single handedely dragged me back into this expensive hobby!

UCS AT-AT was just a wish, not a rumor if I recall correctly.

I won't trawl through old pages but I was sure someone said something along the lines of "those hoping for an AT-AT will be happy". I can wait...

Surely its a better option than a brown box on tracks... I have everything crossed for the at-at but maybe ill just be plain out of luck on this one

Well if the Slave 1 is $250 or less than I can grab that one and pass my #8097 down to my son. Win-win.

Is there a Rumored SW UCS thread? I think I read it there or has it been merged with this one?

Erm.. erm... this is all so sudden... erm.

Dear Bricksetters, academy, and randomly visiting guests, it's been a...

    Oh... but I promised I wouldn't cry!

It's... it's both an honour and privilege to accept this award, which I hope has a monetary value attached... (*checks off-stage, shakes head*)

Oh. Well, erm... I couldn't have done it without... erm... the internet. It's so full of... err, things, and... oh, they're already playing the exit music and sending on the beautiful lady to jerk me off-stage, I mean pull me off, throw me out! I mean.

    So quickly, Thank You-to-everyone-who-voteeeaaaaaayyyyyyyghhhhhh!

Good enough for me although I hope it's not one of the mini scale-stumpy versions.

    Lets see, 2003 - *4 years* - 2007 - *3 years* - 2010 - *4 years* - 2014, makes sense :-)

So based on that, we will be getting another in 2017 :-P
