Cantina looks about as expected. Dewback and Landspeeder are a necessity for play features, so that'll eat up parts count. It'd be nice to get the sand red landspeeder back. Guessing the Squidward heads are going to be Bith, so that's cool. Cantina itself looks as good as could be expected. Eager to see final images.

Oh and my streak continues -- two summers ago I picked up a Sail Barge via Craiglist; one year later a new one comes out. Last summer I picked up an ISD on Craigslist; one year later a new one will come out. In the case of the Sail Barge I actually think I made out better (especially 'cause I got the thing for $50) so maybe I'll feel equally as happy this time around, too.

As a IV - VI only collector (I'm sure VII and beyond will be added to that), I've decided that Lego is doing it's best to wind me up!

New Imperial Guards, what was wrong with the old ones?

New blasters, what was wrong with the old ones?

New Scout Troopers, what was wrong with the old ones?

A New Wicket W. Warwick, what was wrong with the old one?

A Death Star gun that I can't seem to get to fit anywhere in my Death Star!

And don't get me started on new B-Wing fighters and Star Destroyers when I picked the last ones of these up on eBay in the last couple of months (albeit for bargain prices).

I'm sure you all get my point so rant over!!!

Seriously though, I'm pleased that there'll be a Mos Eisley Cantina out soon, but surely no need for another Landspeeder though? Not sure I'd be happy with a USC Sandcrawler when the only other version of this released fetches a small fortune, can we just have another normal one please?

A new Cloud City is a must in the very near future, and a new Dagobah / Yoda's Hut and Twin Pod Car, and how would the Lars Homestead or Yavin Base sound?

All in all though, I'm very pleased with my purchases over the last year, I'm selling over 2600 football (sorry, soccer for you US guys) programmes and replacing them with Star Wars Lego as they'll age and value better in the long term, I just need Imperial Inspection, the Sandcrawler and the Super Star Destroyer now to complete what I'm after - I don't purchase sets pre-2004/05, so basically those with yellow heads!!!

I'm kind of bummed they didn't use the Snowspeeder as an opportunity to release a new Wedge, but I can understand why Luke is included. Unless the B-Wing comes with a unrelated but desirable character, I'll probably pass on it. The Cantina has eight minifigures! Unfortunately one of them is Obi-Wan, but perhaps this means we'll get Ponda Baba. Judging by this info and the leaked image, there will be three spots left after Ben, Luke, Greedo, Han, and a Sandtrooper. I'm pulling for Wuher.

Spring-loaded shooters, anyone? I'm surprised the Cantina doesn't have one.

^ I imagine that a couple of those spots will be reserved for Modal Nodes band members. Still, Ponda Baba, Dr Evazan or Wuher would be great!

^ I was about to say, it would be criminal if the band weren't included! I've mentioned already, but I think having a landspeeder is a chronic waste of pieces given how recently we had one. Hoping that this looks better than the leaked image gives it credit for.

This seems like a lost opportunity to create a HUGE cantina set. The inclusion of the landspeeder really seems to be a waste. I wonder if a jawa may be included...

Yawn, should we expect more rehashes but with spring loaded shooters in the next year or so until epi 7 turns up seeing as TLG seemingly love them so much?! Gutted there's no UCS AT-AT still. Cantina is the only thing to get excited about for me out of that lot.

Never thought i'd hear myself say it, but i'm getting closer and closer to just buying/trading for the few figs I might want... especially as it sounds like the Cantina hasn't enough room for a full band.

Luke, Ben, Han, Greedo, leaves just 4, a Bartender is a must... down to 3... a stormtrooper, we're at two, if they include 3P0 ('leave the droid outside!'), now one space left.

@legomatt, these are the figures I'm hoping for:

New Han. New Luke. New Ben. New Greedo. Sandtrooper(different rank than the previous two) two of the Modal nodes. Bartender Wuher.

Ideally there should at least four more minifigs, Dr. Evazan, Ponda Baba, another modal node, and Chewie.

About the landspeeder, the sets are aimed at kids for the most part so playability is what they're after, they need something 'swooshable' in a set right? With this one you have a speeder, a building (bar ;-)) a large creature, and 8 minifigs!

I wonder if they will include those new 'hairdryers' to make it more difficult for Han and Greedo to whip out their blasters?

Greedo: "I've been looking forward to this for a long time"

Han: "Yea, I'll bet you have" *grabs blaster under table*

Greedo: *Pulls out blaster and begins looking around for a trans-red stud*

Han: *Tries to pull out blaster* "Damn! my blaster is stuck under the table!"

The Cantina is the only one I'm looking forward to. Maybe they'll give it the Jabba's Palace/Rancor Pit treatment and make it a two parter (wishful thinking).

There's no mention of Greedo, but I sure he's a shoe-in

If anyone is looking at the leaked confidential picture that came out a week ago or so, isn't the figure under the "N" in "confidential" Greedo (either the real figure or a stand-in)? That was my assumptions, since he's standing right next to Han who is sitting at a table in an alcove.

^ I think most (including myself) would prefer Wuher, Dr. Evazan or Ponda Baba instead of a jawa as they will undoubtedly be included in the sandcrawler which is apparently getting released later this year.

I am looking forward to the AT-AT as have been after one for a while but prices on the older 8129 are just going up and up, cantina also sounds great.

Just to clarify, those figs i mentioned with the Cantina aren't what i'd want to see as such, but what i guessed might be included from the info available.

I could have happily done without Luke, Ben, and the speeder, in favour of more bar clientele and band members, because if they don't include background characters in the few scenes where they appear, they'll never likely get made at all (unless they suddenly shock us all with extension packs, featuring just background characters and bricks to build up a street scene -I wish!).

Yeah, more guessing :) I'll have a go.

I think (and indeed hope) the cantina has:
Han, Luke, Chewi, Ben, Sandtrooper, Gredo, musician, bartender.

Which would mean the sandcrawler should have:
R2, 3PO, Jawas (a lot), R5, Uncle Owen, Aunt. Beru.

Actually it would be great if the Sandcrawler had a small. Homestead building, even something like the Igloo that we just got in the winter village to nod at a purchase of droids scene.

Do you guys think the UCS Slave 1 will be to Minfig scale like the UCS Falcon was? And if so, do you think it will come with Minfigs?

I hope it does come with Minifigs, and this would be my wishlist:

Printed ARMS & LEGS Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, IG-88, 4-LOM, Zuckuss, Bespin Guard, and Han in Carbonite for good measure.

Yes, and yes...

I posted the measurements before, it clearly is sized right in "real life" to be Minifig scale, it fits well and the minifigs would go nicely with it.

If they don't go nuts with the price, it will do well.

Apart from Fett and a carbonited solo, I don't quite feel any other fig making a heap of (narrative) sense (unless they included a rudimentary landing platform to stand them on perhaps, in which case Bespin guards etc).

Otherwise, you'd have the ship displayed, with Fett in the flying seat... then just off to one side a little row of lonely figs united by being the other bounty hunters, just looking up, watching him flying off and shouting 'Yahaaah! Looserrrrz, *flips finger* Get yourselves a ship, Suckaz!!!"

I hope they learn from the SSD that a big ship with figures shoehorned in isn't good enough, no mater how spectacular the model. Either go down the Red-five route and have no figures (droid aside), which is great - all about the model, or go down the Falcon route and add appropriate figures to complement. The later being the more likely then I would love a Bespin feel to the set, Lobot, Lando, Boba, Han in Carbonite and a couple of Bespin guards would be great.

You know what would be cruel? If LEGO included a Cloud City Lando in the UCS set. Because I'll bet many of us would seriously consider getting the set to get our Cloud City Lando.

^ it would be a great draw for the set and I really, really hope they do, (spot the SW a lego fan without a cloud city set). But that said if they surpass themselves with the model itself it won't matter what figures go with it, a top job UCS Slave 1 won't need much help selling itself.

I found out Mace Windu was actually on Kashyyyk in EP3, it was a deleted scene, it might be readded in the collector's edition though. :P

I was trying to say 'i change my mind, they can put nonsensical figs in (wicket, R2, Homer, emmet) in case i'm unable to afford slave-1 ucs, and so don't miss any neat figs.
