Mr. Gold in Series 11 boxes?

JjfanJjfan Member Posts: 30
On the USA LEGO Minifigures products page, it shows the 16 new Series 11 minifigs along with Mr. Gold. Also, below his name is "Series 11", which brings me to my question: Will Mr. Gold pop up in Series 11 boxes and in the green packaging? According to the "Where's Mr Gold" page there are 1,387 registered. Sure a percentage are found but go unregistered and maybe a lot are sitting in stores because people gave up looking for him. But over more than half not registered and with the Series 11 release month not too far away, just makes you wonder.

If he is not part of 11, which he shouldn't be, then I'm surprised that LEGO would have that big of an error on the products page.

If you click on him, it goes to series 10. He will not be in series 11.

Fascinating, and when you click on him it goes to series 10 packaging.

I'm guessing he's a mistake, and was slapped into the code for series 10 and they forgot to remove when they put up 11. I'm with you though, it's either a) an error or b) that he is in series 11. The first would be unfortunate, the second, completely lame.

I dunno, if he was in series 11, personally I'd find that pretty awesome.

But I honestly expect that it's quasi-intentional. That is, they still wanted him front-and-center to maintain focus on the Mr. Gold promotion, but at the same time, wished to feature all the new figures. Hence, they kept him on there, but probably didn't have a way to modify the "Series 11" part that shows up on the little popup word-bubble.

It looks like it has been taken down. Probably a mistake after all...
