So far I've really enjoyed the sets. Cool features and fun to build. Excited for Benny's spaceship the most. I'm sure after I see the movie I'll love the sets even more. And I 'll actually get to see it next Saturday aa I just got my invite to the premier in LA/Westwood (I work in entertainment). I hate premiers, but I'll go to this one even though it's at 11am on a Saturday.

Having managed the now defunct Beverly Connection, I had the opportunity to oversee several LA premieres and they were so much fun. :o) Hopefully you can get Emmets's autograph. ;o)

Lego store at Mall of America was giving away #5002041 to kids today. (Glad I'm a big kid)

Does anyone know which store in the UK will have #70811 as an exclusive? Can't seem to find it anywhere currently.

Nice, although they are going to get sore necks watching the film on the screen behind them. Although I guess this is where minifigs are more evolved than humans, just rotate their heads and you are done!

Doesn't anyone else think that the door and Kraggle section of Lord Business' Evil Lair kind of looks like a facade to a building? Of course, it probably is, but the box art really does say otherwise...

Has anyone found Lego Movie gear of any kind besides the items on [email protected]?
  • DavidBrickleyDavidBrickley Member Posts: 363
At Target, I have seen spiral notebooks and minifigure pens (Emmett and Pres Business).

Has anybody else been able to buy the minifigures already? Can't check on the main site, but saw them for the first time in the local toy store today.

We've got a few of the new minifigures, they're pretty cool.
  • sonsofscevasonsofsceva Member Posts: 542
I just saw the movie today at a pre-screening.
It was fun; my boys really enjoyed it. We went to Target after the movie and all of the sets make a lot more sense afterward. The Sea Cow pictures of the real set match the stubbiness in the movie. Benny has to make the spaceship out of particular parts, which is why the spaceship looks the way it does.
There is a good message to the movie, especially for the likes of many of us who frequent this site and other sites (AFOLs, I mean).

I know what you mean....my wife gave me a little bit of a look when that message was delivered :) The movie was actually better than I expected and I had pretty high expectations for this movie.

I have a date with my youngest grandson to see the movie on Saturday! The Lego Store is in the mall with the theater, so I think we will have to get some *stuff* afterwards.

I hope the Sea Cow is €200 maximum. I really like the looks of it, but the furthest I will go for that is €200.

So, this set image appeared on Reddit as an official reveal, but it is surely just a MOC, right? This would be a gargantuan set. The patchwork submarine:

From a plot perspective, it seems to be built from Batman's vehicle, Benny's spaceship, and something from Uni-kitty. Given that many sets can be rebuilt into a different vehicle using the same parts, I wouldn't be surprised if this could be built if you own 3 big sets.

I dunno; I see a lot of parts that no set, and certainly no LEGO Movie set, really offers in the requisite quantities. The article that image is from explains its role pretty effectively... it's an example of what happens when the Master Builders try to build something together but each tries to build it according to their own personal style. So obviously the black parts are Batman's doing, the blue and gray space features are Benny's, the colorful "tags" and spray paint can are Wyldstyle's, the pink teddy bear is Unikitty's, etc.

@Steve_J_OM Thank you for sharing the picture.

    Ah, that makes sense.

It makes even more sense once you've seen the movie and the sub's origin.

Just got back from seeing the movie. It was awesome. Is about all I can say without spoiling to much.

Also picked up the game for the 360 from Walmart with the Radio DJ Robo. Rather have it then Western Emmet after a bit of thought.

^By my calculations it should be unveiled today.
  • Wil348Wil348 Member Posts: 240
Apparently you can get Pyjama Emmet and Robo DJ in the UK from Odeon cinemas for buying the kids meal.

I took my daughter to TRU for the Emmet's Car build. It looks just like the City Smart Car that was out a few years back. Since there were so few kids that had shown up, they gave my daughter a 2nd one. She was all kinds of happy to get extra parts.
  • Gooker1Gooker1 Member Posts: 599
The tru car is awesome as its the same exact one emmet drives in the movie
  • jediami65jediami65 Member Posts: 474
I don't think I am spoiling anything here since the previews of the movie have included these.

What are the chances we get a TLM version of the Batwing/Batmobile? This is one that I think would do well with AFOLS and Kids too.

I din't bring up Wonder Woman's Invisible jet since I could not find any pictures. ;-)

I want this! TLG should have made this instead of the Seacow IMO, since this scene from the movie is more memorable.
