Misleading title my friend. Perhaps put the question in the title next time?

BTW, I'd Rather See A Galaxy Squad TV Show Than I Would More Chima.

^ agree on both points. I got all excited, and then meh.
I would take a Galaxy Squad show way way over Chima at this point.

To Be Honest I Think It Would Be Cool But LEGO Would Never Do It.

It seems like TLG doesn't see it as marketable as more... vast (?) LEGO themes like Chima and Ninjago, where they can go anywhere? I'm not sure.

First it won't happen as galaxy squad is classed as an in and out theme and will be replaced with something else in 2014.
Secondly for us in UK it makes no difference if they made one or not as only way we could see it would be via the Internet due to rules surrounding make cartoons for kids based on existing toys.

@VBaskin2008 I don't know about a Galaxy Squad TV series, but here is something I think you should look at.

    EDIT: also, this.

I think it's unlikely that any LEGO theme will ever get a TV show unless it is developed with a TV show or special in mind. Developing a full IP takes a lot more preparation than just developing a toy line, after all, and deciding to have a TV special or an ongoing TV series after a theme has been revealed means that chances are the theme will no longer be as trendy by the time you have something ready to air.

Galaxy Squad is not even mentioned in the latest S@H catalog. It's already over.

    ^ AAAAaaaAAaAAaaGhHH... ;o)

    :oP

But, as far as cartoon. It would never happen the way I'd like, but if they went with a comedy angle, parodying Star Trek etc, that I could watch.

Ha! Yeah Right! I Think A Galaxy Squad Cartoon Series Might Be More To Pay Homage To Great Space Themed Cartoons That Hanna-Barbera Did Like "Space Ghost", "The Galaxy Trio", "Yogi's Galaxy Goof Ups", "Teen Force", & "Fantastic Max".

I doubt it. Way people are talking, the theme will be on it's way out by the end of the year.

Yes, I'm there at least twice daily, pawing at the screen and wishing I had more money and a bigger Lego room. :-)

My point was that the print catalog (which takes a bit of pre-planning to create and distribute) did not have any space dedicated to the theme. That means that the line is either taking a break (we always say this, but it never happens) or they're done devoting time and money to developing new models and only have enough inventory to coast by for another few months with minimal promotion.

The website is a one-time investment and running off a live inventory system, so Lego will have the theme page up until the last sets leave the warehouse.

All that said, I loved the line and would have enjoyed a tv show of any sort.

    Yeah Right!

    @VBaskin2008
Allow me to explain this in some detail. By Summer 2014, the Summer Wave of sets (or in the UK, the entire series that's available now) will be discontinued, like how Monster Fighters is being discontinued right now. Usually a wave of sets last only for a year, but in the case of, say, Ninjago, the next year's Summer wave will come out at this point (with a few stragglers from the previous year due to lack of sales or massive popularity). This happens with the winter waves as well. To the point, we haven't heard of another wave of Galaxy Squad coming out next year (this winter) from the 2014 set rumors, so, with that, we are assuming that the series will not continue and the sets will eventually disappear.

And as much as I would love a TV show, Galaxy Squad is not being promoted for that. From that perspective I can't see a show coming out after the Theme is over either.

I hope this cleared some things up for you.

The catalogs are never comprehensive these days. It is extremely common for some themes like Hero Factory to be entirely omitted unless there happens to be a brand-new wave of sets that the LEGO Group wants to promote. I imagine it's the same deal with Galaxy Squad: just because it doesn't make the cut for one catalog doesn't mean it won't be in the next one if new sets happen to be in the pipeline.

They are quite famous for secrecy, but around this time every year, those plans start slowly seeping out. Being that Space is a very popular theme, several have reported back after seeing the top-secret retailers catalog saying that Galaxy Squad has ended. Again, because of that, a GS TV show is unlikely.
I'd also like to add that no Space theme besides Space Police has had a modern day sequel. Although Life on Mars and Mars Mission both take place on Mars, they aren't sequels. Exploriens and Galaxy Squad do share a white color scheme, and GS also shares the bug theme with Insectoids, but none of them are similar in any way besides taking place in Space.
We also aren't sure if "It was hot back then" was the reason behind Galaxy Squad either.

And lastly, it is really easy to use the shift button just for names and the beginning of sentences. And don't forget your punctuation. The capitalization and run-on sentence habit you have is a real eyesore.

I'd just like a classic space theme/line/show. None of this childish stuff; back to the good 'ol 90's SPACE.

I've been a fan of Lego Space for nearly 13 years now, actually. I have looked back at the commercials and sets from the 80's and '90s just for the fun of it once and I often look back at them for MOC inspiration. A commercial, although quite the visual spectacle, really isn't the ultimate source for information about a theme, but I can see that they present similarities if they were placed side by side. It doesn't mean that the more recent theme is a legitimate successor to the previous one.
