Gizmodo's The Evolution of the Minifig

If you've not yet seen it, Gizmodo have re-posted an article/list of minifigs, put together with assistance from Lego:

http://lego.gizmodo.com/exclusive-the-evolution-of-the-minifig-5070884

It seems that the list is not quite complete, but there are some very good images of early minifigs - they look like they're fresh from the box!

(And it seems that they've given the red classic spaceman some yellow airtanks...)

Warning: The post is incredibly image-heavy, so may take a while to load.

It's a shame they didn't tidy it up a bit - for example making thumbnails for each one which you can click to see a bigger version, arranging them neatly on a grid, so they are easier to compare and so on. And maybe sort them into different categories.

If only there was a site that did that!
