New members now need to be approved

To attempt to cut down on the number of people who join just to spam the forum, new user accounts now need to be approved by an administrator before they can be used.

We'll try and keep on top of requests to minimise the delay in getting access to the forum.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Edit: when you apply, please enter something relevant in the 'why do you want to join?' box because we use that to determine if your application is genuine.

I just processed about a week's worth of approvals. Sorry for the delay; if you were waiting on approval, please try to log on now.

BTW, we're still getting a lot of applications with no text which are rejected because they are indistinguishable from spam, so be sure to fill out the field.
