[US] 20% Off Luke's Landspeeder

BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,536
edited June 2013 in Shopping USA/Canada has dropped #8092 Luke's Landspeeder to $19.97. Free shipping to store or $.97 to home. Not a bad deal for a set that has been gone from [email protected] for over 6 mos at least.

It's OK if you haven't gotten it. They were marked down 50% off ($12.50) post-Christmas and there were tons remaining on the shelves at the time. I'm surprised they still have these around.

Walmart has been selling this exclusive set for a long time. I thought it was finally gone a couple of months a go when it was marked out of stock... But here we go again...

How did your credit card give you 20% off?

I logged in with amex and it was a shop at amex thing, i typed in walmart and everything at wal-mart is 20% off, you pay with points off the card. So they get you that way.

^So if I understand you correctly:

If you built up, say, $20 exactly in points on your AMEX card, and you purchase a $100 widget at Walmart, you will get 20% off that widget (in this case $20). However, the cost of that discount is that you no longer have $20 worth of points on your card?

    Just wondering...
