Hello everyone,
I've been reading the forums for a while and was aware that The Battle of Endor 8038 was discontinued but it seems to now be back for backordering over at the lego website http://shop.lego.com/en-US/The-Battle-of-Endor-8038?c=Hard-to-Find-Items-Exclusive-Hard-to-Find-Items-ByCategory I read elsewhere that it's re-released in UK? Can anyone fill me in on the story? Thanks.

The Toys R Us store at Coventry Cross Point in the UK had 5 of the sets on the shelf at the weekend.

Still see the odd one here too. On sale trying to get rid of them by the looks.

It's marked to be discontinued this year (like the Death Star, Medieval Market, etc) which is why they're likely on back order. Lego isn't producing them in numbers since they don't want to be left with stock. However, it's not "discontinued" yet. ;-)

Well on the Canadian Lego Shop@Home it's been put on backorder... It was sold out. Huhh. While I'm not happy, I'm a little surprised. Although, when it originally listed itself being "sold out" I kind of thought it was completely random. I dont know, I guess I was hoping for a nice Good-Bye Sale around the 3rd-4th's May the Force Be With You event. I don't have my fingers crossed anymore, and I don't care either since I already convinced myself I wouldn't persue the set if it was gone.

No excuses now to anyone still saying they want the set. I just hate people who buy sets weeks after the set itself sells out. They usually end up paying some stupid price hike that just levels out in mere months.

Rule of thumb is that if you really want a set, don't wait for a sale or until it's about to be discontinued because you may end up biting yourself in the ***.
