FS/FT: #9465 The Zombies (MISB) [London & UK]

asksolasksol Member Posts: 101
Hey! I have 6 of these for sale, hoping to get £68 each. Also willing to trade if you have sealed sets: looking for modulars/exclusives, Star Wars, and rare polybags.

The best would be pickup near SW19 or in SE London, but also willing to ship to elsewhere in the UK.

I have only traded with @richardh4388 and @rawbob on here before, but I use my full name and have accounts on BL and ebay too (e.g. google my username)

Please PM me for more information, or just ask in this thread.

Cheers!

As suggested in another thread, here's a picture of the sets. All of them are mint, but a very slight wear on the edges of some):

The PAB cup filled with dark red leaves is not included ;)

I can vouch for this seller, we had a smooth hassle free trade last month

Nice to see so many really useful boxes.
    Free thread bump.
  • asksolasksol Member Posts: 101
The length of the box is 48cm, which is 3 cm more than the small parcel size :(

I really don't want to put them up on ebay, so the price is now £65 each.
Medium parcel shipping should be £5.20 2nd class, or £5.75 1st class.

For trades I'm also looking for #8089 (Hoth Wampa Cave), TC-14, Shadow ARF, and may consider unboxed sets if they are in perfect condition.

Try BrickLink while you wait for someone here to offer ;-)

    @asksol

I have a spare ARF, multiples of all current IM sets, loads of series 10 minifigs. Is there a combination of the above that you would be happy with?

    Thanks

@joel4motion I have all IM and S10, not sure I need more :) Also looking for Hobbit #79002, #79003 and #79004, LOTR sets and GS.

@legoprods Thanks, you're right, I created a store there now. My GF already said she would leave me if I started taking inventory part by part, so this is a slippery slope ;)

Only one gone, seems the Zombies is a US phenomenon and I should save them for my next trip there. I'm willing though, to ship these to countries outside the UK if someone wants to complete their MF collection.

The high price of these (not necessarily yours, but all of them) does drive people away. Unless you are a completist for mint in box sets, it can be bricklinked cheaper, leaving just the minifigs. But even those can be bought relatively cheap on ebay (£15 for the pair of bride and groom, and the chauffeur is maybe £2, same for Jack).

So you are really aiming at collectors of perfect boxes, rather than set collectors that don't keep boxes.

If I had £65 to spend on this set then there are better sets to buy, even within the MF range. Although I already have the set.

I agree on all your points, but I'm not a collector of MISB sets. It does sell on ebay for over that price, just recently a used one went for £60 ex, would take a long time though, makes me feel bad for resellers.
They are available for £70 on BL (why do they buy them on ebay again?), not a single The Zombies set has been bought on Bricklink using GBP as currency.

^H^H^H^HNot really selling this am I. My GF got angry and said she doesn't want Lego in the luggage, so if you have the need for pristine expensive cardboard, price is now £59 or offers

You must take some, if only to reserve the luggage space for lego on the way back. :-)

It's one of these sets that is really frustrating. was available for, what, 3-4 months and was a store exclusive - wasn't even available in Ireland (ROI) so missed the opportunity. Shame on LEGO.

They were available again in LLW over the weekend.

I think they keep respawning in the stock room. I got the last one and it looked like the box had been hit by a cricket bat.
