From what I have heard SSD will be discontinued at the end of this year. I would like to be closer to $300 tho... $359 is too expensive for me.

Thanks for the heads up tho! Looks like they price matched TRU.

^ Yea, it isn't quite enough for me to buy more either... at 20% off, I would, but 10% is honestly just noise in the long run. Or it should be anyway, we shall see. :)

SSD will be the first "large UCS set" since UCS Falcon to retire, when it does, it will tell us a lot about the future of reselling such sets. I don't know that it will translate much to DS however, that set is rather unique in many ways.

Hmm, I wonder if the SSD will see similar discounts to the ones IS received last year. I probably still won't buy it unless it drops below $250.

^ I believe the lowest it has ever been was $260 from Target last year, but that was really due to an error on their part. At $250, I'll pick up another one :).

It was $247 delivered after redcard discount. Yea, that deal was hard to beat.

SSD was also 20% off last year for May 4th, right alongside IS, but 20% off that long ago wasn't a deal, it had been out less than a year by that point.

Boo for the non-Brickset affiliate code. I'll change the link when I'm off this darn iPad and on my laptop.

How does one make such a link to that affiliate code? I copied and pasted the direct link from Amazon's site, was there something else I should have done?

I looked at some of the other URLs on they had "tag=brickset-20" in the link.

Lets see what happens with this... I just copied and pasted this from my address bar:

Update: I just clicked on that link and it shows up in the address bar just like that.

@rocao - is there some other way you'd like links posted?

The site uses various affiliate codes; you can click on the relevant set in the Amazon Bargain Watch listings and copy and paste the URL once directed to Amazon, or you can do the same from the Amazon links on the For Sale tab on the set page. If you don't do either then we'll change the links manually if time allows, although it's obviously more work.
