After seeing him in the cartoon's in fig form telling off Vader it did make me wonder if they would release him at some point.
A Hal Jordan Green Lantern that I can actually afford
Link from the Legend of Zelda
A Greek Goddess Inspired Figure w/ white toga
Over on the other side of the divide, I second the request for an affordable Green Lantern or two (or twelve), plus Sinestro, Star Sapphire, Saint Walker, Atrocitus, Larfleeze, etc, etc....
Super Heroes:
Ra's Al Ghul
Calendar Man
Victor Zsasz (no way, but I can dream)
Firefly
Killer Moth
Mad Hatter
The Flash
Green Lantern
Green Goblin
Rhino
Norman Osborne
As many X-men as possible
Star Wars:
Separatist Leaders
Updated Chewbacca
Updated Kit Fisto
Non-Clone Wars Ki-Adi Mundi
Non-Clone Wars Aayla Secura
More of Jabba's Henchmen
Kaminoans
More Ewoks
Death Star Gunner
General Dodanna
Not strictly Minifigures, but some arena beasts would be nice (Reek, Acklay and Nexu)
I could go on and on...
As you buy them you make your world ready to hang and display. That way it becomes a cool learning tool.
In fact I'm sure parental nostalgia plays a significant factor for a lot of parents buying lego for their kids in general. It's something they remember enjoying, and can enjoy again with their kids.
There's a bunch of character archetypes I'd like to see turn up in the CMF range, and they seem to be doing a fairly good job of fufilling my wishes at the moment.
Judge Dread....

Just sayin'
Oh, and Hal Jordan type Green Lantern for the masses, Flash, the Fantastic Four, a classic X-Men body pack of just the yellow/blue X-torso in a 10-pack so a person can build as many X-Men as possible! Snake-Eyes from G.I.Joe (dang you Lego competitor), and Amelia Earhart.
