If you could have any set based on anyhig what would it be? And how much would you pay? Mine would be Wayne Manor, an I would pay over £200 for a well detailed set.

I'd like to see something like a 'UCS style' car. Would like to see a Bugatti Veyron in LEGO. I'd be happy to part with £70 for a good 1:17 scale (typical LEGO car scale), or even £150 for a 1:10 scale. Last time we saw these cars was the Racers Lambos three years ago. And I have both of them.
Have tried building my own 800 piece version, but I think the designers could do a better job than I did.

The Transformer "Metroplex". One of my favorite toys when I was younger. You would be able to build him either as a mobile city or in robot form. As for price I would pay upwards of $250 for it (would hope for a piece count similar to Tower Bridge).

This sounds cool, though I question how much Wayne Manor would provide interest or play value. Other than being the house on top of the Batcave, is there anything more going on with it other than being a "stately manor." I'm pretty up on Batman mythos, and I can't think of any, but if there is something else, let me know.

Of course, if they pulled some kind of Jabba/Rancor connection to the Batcave set, that's be very cool.

I'd like an 8000 piece Tower of London set. I'd be quite willing to pay £300 - £350 for that.

With six black seagull pieces for ravens.

@tensor I would like the manor for purely display purposes, think of the interior all the different rooms and detail that they could put into it, then the batcave can be an extension!

The ultimate batcave that one dude built that made me give up on building mine. Id pay close to $2000 for that, $3000 with a decent wayne manor.

I would love a M.A.S.K "Boulder Hill" as i could never afford it when i was young! It should look like the one "Orion Pax" made: http://orionpax.de/23/index.php/showroom/one/133/Boulder-Hill

    P.S.:would pay up too 400€!

A really decent, front-and-back Xavier's school (with hinges to see the insides), and either the Blackbird in a hanger underneath, or facility to add one (ie a separate set). I do think Lego might be missing a trick by not making "modular" sets for the Superheroes lines; just look at @kissyfur_ok's amazing extension to the Malibu Mansion. Sets like these would appeal across the board, IMHO - kids (or parents buying for kids) would enjoy individual sets at affordable prices, AFOLS (or rich parents' kids ;-) would enjoy combining them - and with sets that stack, as per the mansion above, the display footprint would be far less than a load of separates.

Oh, and I'd pay £400 for my dream X-mansion, complete OR modular!

Im an 80's kid, so a Castle Grayskull set would have me salivating big time. I would want it to have a similar clamshell design as the original play set. A He-man and Sorceress minifig would also be a must. I would pay a few hundred for that if it was done right.

My dream would be a UCS line of grand prix cars, old and new ones from the 50's up until now, although itd never work as i can't see lego going to the trouble of getting all of the licenses for each car brand.

Imgaine having all these on your display shelf sat next to each other!

I know lego have made a few technic ones but nothing beats the look of real lego

Mine are very simple: a post office and stand alone gas station. Can't believe it's been years since the last ones.

I'd love to see a scale model of a real medieval castle. It would have to be micro-scale, but that's fine.

I always hoped the Emerald Night was the precursor to more train sets based on the British locomotives of long ago. It would be neat to see sets based on the Mallard or any of the smaller tank engines instead of just diesel engines.

I made a joke weeks ago about wanting a Galaxy Quest set, but seriously, that would be AWESOME. Just think of the minifigs.
  • LegofanscottLegofanscott Member Posts: 622
Few more big exclusive sets id like to see:

    Motorised ferris wheel
    Minas tirith
Red baron remake(weve got the sopwith so surely this is bound to happen)
B29 superfortress in all chrome parts haha, think ill have a better chance winning the lotto then that ever happening :-)

I must be tired....somehow I read the title as, "Sets you made love to." Had to do a double take.

I'll pay a premium for Planet of the Apes sets.

^ Get the statue of liberty set, break off the top half, stick it on a tan baseplate and surround it with the CMF gorilla suit guy.

Large scale Lord of the Rings:

Minas Tirith - how about modular sets to build up the whole city of seven levels - truly massive with lots of detail. Each individual set would be a location in the city used in the story and could stand (and sell) by itself.

Soldiers of Gondor battle packs. Could follow the #9471 pattern and throw in a part of the wall.

Lothlorien - not brown & green trees. White and gold.

Rivendell - Elves, waterfalls and lovely buildings

    Edoras and Meduseld.

Since we are getting 10237 Tower of Orthanc, my fantasies might come true. The $199 price works for 2300 piece sets.

I hope TLG and Warner Bros. have a long term license and they pump them out forever like Star Wars.

I hope so too, it sure seems like there is enough content for at least two or three more waves.

A few more ideas for LOTR that would be cool

    The prancing pony

Statues of argonath(no play value whatsoever but would make an awesome display piece sculpture)

    Amon Hen

    Balrog battle scene

I'd like to see a massive Rube Goldberg type contraption. The price would depend on the size and the intricacy of the design and number of steps involved. I would also like it to have an Indiana Jones or Egyptian type theme to it.
  • Jonn420Jonn420 Member Posts: 267
I was just zoneing out and thinking a Star wars Kamino Clone Factory would be cool. It would be two landing platforms connecting to a 1/4 central hub. On the backside of the hub could have a cloning station with the globe "testube clones". And a dinner table.learning station.and an armory where they pick up there helmets. And top it off with a small tower for jango's room... Ad Obi Wan's star fighter for one of the landing platforms, and Release a Jango slave 1 at the same time.
The figures: Obi, r4, Jango ,boba, 4 jr. Clones, 4 adult clones, and a new taun we and Lama Su... And about 10 of the glass globe things (not the crystle ball ones) with a flesh colored nose cone peice in it , for the fetal clones.
    Id buy that.

While obviously a Gundam license will never happen, my dream would be a minifig-scale Shining Gundam. I know that there's a minifig-scale Gundam 0079 (the original Gundam) floating around the internet, and if the Shining Gundam were similar in piece count (whatever that is) I could see myself paying $.10-13 per piece. Also, a Domon Kasshu fig would be amazing. They already have the hair; they could just use that Exo-Force hair in black.

(And yes features like the little opening things for super mode would be cool, but then super mode is kind of defined by the gold finish which is obviously impractical if it's to look normal most of the time.)

Obviously God Gundam would be good too but I'd first and foremost like Shining.

Phew, that was some 'like-whoring' I just did. Lol

You see, this is why I have no money, I love virtually all of these ideas... and therefore, almost everything TLG actually do.

But top of my list (themes) would be: Ghostbusters, He-man, Star Trek TNG.

I can't think of the one most desired set though, i'll have a think.

I'm hoping for a Mallard-style train too - the last two have been diesel and then electric, so fingers crossed for a steam engine next!

This is more of a general wish than a specific set, but I would love it if Lego would move to 8-wide trains. I can understand why this would likely not happen because of non-backward compatibility with existing trains, but adding those two extra studs would make a world of difference in detail and realism. Especially when it comes to steam trains, the extra room would allow for more articulation and space for electronics & minifigs.

Ooo, you just got me thinking of some Narnia sets. Not like that'll happen with LOTR already in the mix, but I could get real excited about a Dawn Treader model.

A nice Rivendell set would probably get me to spend some good money.

Other than that, a modular schoolhouse and park, and I'd love if they'd license some Ghibli.

    F-22, F-18, C-130, B1, B2, AV-8, A-10, AH-64, UH-60... Basically any real military aircraft beyond the Sopwith Camel.
  • markarm919markarm919 Member Posts: 60
And I would pay $100-$200 if they were the size and scale of the UCS X-Wings and Sopwith Camel.

thats where i don't get it, if Lego want to stay away from military and war themes then shouldn't they have not made the sopwith?

At the end of the day it is still a war plane that shot down many enemy planes just like any other war plane

^ It has been discussed before and I believe LEGO's wording is related to "modern" or "realistic" warfare and since biplanes are not used anymore it falls into historic or something along that lines. Things like bombers, fighter jets, and tanks are all still used so they'd be off limits. Even if a particular model of jet/tank etc is not used anymore it still reflects modern warfare. And yes planes are still used but seeing a biplane wouldn't necessarily immediately connect someone growing up now to warfare.

Well, when I come into a 100lbs of of uniformly grey and black pieces, I shall begin my conquest of building an F-22 first, then an AH 64 Apache. Don't expect anything soon though. I'm having a hard time convincing my wife that the Red Five Leader X-Wing is a suitable end table decoration. :)

In the event I am successful, I will happily provide pictures!

Highly detailed location-specific scenes within the Superheroes theme. Like, top floor of the Daily Planet (along with a custodial closet for Clark to become Superman), stuff along those lines. Would satisfy some of those hungry for UCS-sized mansions and such without such a huge price tag.
