What do you think of the Jor-El freebie minifig?

Out of curiosity...
What is your opinion on the look of the June 'freebie' Lego minifig Jor-El (once your order reaches €55 / 'fill in your local currency').

The minifig is based on the new 2013 Superman movie 'Man of Steel'

Seems to me, the people at TLG have not bothered to actually design a matching body print & colour torso and legs for Jor-El, but have taken a superman minifig, and provided it with a different face-print, and different hairpiece. I would have liked it better if they had actually taken a look at Russell Crowe's costume, and made a movie accurate Lego Jor-El minifig representation.


What is your take on this?
Are you content with the fig as it is, or do you feel it leafs something to be desired?

Got the minifig today and love it!costume far darker in flesh than on picture - s is almost brown tones and costume darker than super mans - not far off colours of movie costume!

Not convinced its movie accurate and may be Lego could have tried a little harder but as thefyfe says above it is a slightly darker suit than first imagined... It's a hit with this collector

Ooh that is nice to know. I only just checked out the pic on Lego.com today, and I thought the minifig was completely identical to superman's costume.

Still the Jor-El's movie costume looks significantly different from that of superman, that to me it would be nice if that was reflected much more outspoken in the Lego version.

Agreed the print should have been changed up a bit! Movie costume looks like got loads of detail!
Was so glad when got it that wasn't same colour as supermans! It is cheaper plastic though as with all freebies
