Lego Starwars battle droids gets neglected

Im a huge fan of all the starwars movies, but i mostly think the older ones have kind of boring lego sets. So im collecting the episode 1sets and im currently recreating episode 1 in lego. But lately it seems like lego just dont care for the good ol' battle droids anymore, (same with the super battle droid)They have replaced them with jetpack droids, commando droids and stupid super battle droids with cannons instead of those cool arms they used to have.. I hope they'll change their mind and make battle droids again. Btw if anyone has set: 7111 7121 7124 7126 7155 or 7184 please pm me and we can sort out a price or trade.

What do you mean by jetpack? Do you mean the stud on the back of sw001c?

He came (x8) in the Battle of Naboo set, so is quite easy to pick up.

No no, sw228 and the new droidekas is the one im talking about, and btw here in Norway battle of naboo is not available now, went out of stores couple of months ago.

    But the sw001c are okay

Even though Battle of Naboo is OOS in shops, you should be able to pick up loads of sw001c for about $1.50 on bricklink.

Well, i'd rather have lego put battle droids in the new sets instead of commando droids, that's my point

This is the problem of not buying sets before they go out of sale. LEGO are unlikely to do another set with lots of battle droids in, since a recent set has had them. Give it a few years, and they will no doubt appear again. Not all figures are available in current sets.

Some people have been waiting years for a re-release of Tusken Raiders and Jawas.

    ^ AMEN to that.

Funny, I always thought WAY too many sets contained battle droids. Even up to now, but I haven't really bought into this latest TCW wave.

My two Tusken Raiders from 2002's "Tusken Raider Encounter" are among my most prized minifigures because they look so cool. Being ultra-rare helps.

I have a bajillion Battle Droids and hope that they are never produced again. They take away space that can be used or better figures.

I'm having a similar problem with stormtroopers. Had I known the battle pack with the useless (for my purposes) shadow trooper would be THE best way to mass an army of them, I would have bought tons more when they were on clearance. Frankly, they could feel free to include a stormtrooper in every OT set, and I would never even think to complain about how little sense their inclusion made.

I must agree with @Darthhenry1 above. I have far too many Battle Droids really (well over 200) as so many sets have included them in the past. I have no use for so many of the regular Battle Droids, but I was delighted to see the inclusion of some Geonosis style Battle Droids in some of the Summer sets, they look great and I cannot wait to get my hands on a few.

That is why they are cheap on bricklink. But I can understand the frustration at just getting into Lego and not having them available in retail sets, same as any other army builder.

You can never have too many Stormtroopers! :)

There are too many "custom" figs that don't follow the standard model, and Clone Troopers are not the same thing. I have tons of those, but only a handful of Stormtroopers.

Yes to more of those! :)

I would have loved Dark Bucket!!! :)

I had to get rid of my older stormtroopers, I couldn't allow the old torso print mix with the new, and I prefer the newer one (the one from Endor battle pack and the dirty troopers).
