On Brickset.... Just put the set number(s) in the search box, visit the set page, and click the 'Instructions' tab.

http//www.toysperiod.com. On the left click on Lego Reference then type the set number into the search box at top right.

Toys period is rife with plagiarism and I would not recommend going there. He rips off every other site out there and then plasters the images with his own logo.

Thank you @Huw. I was not aware how he got his images. Which site do you recommend?

@drdavewatford Ok, I did follow your instructions and am finding no instructions tab on the 80's sets I checked 6399, 6987and 6080. Which are not obscure or hard to find sets. Is there something wrong with my Google Chrome? Also, I noticed some set pages have an ACM tab below the main image and some don't. I'll have to admit, I usually use brickfactory for my instructions. Does Brickset not have all of the instructions for every set?

    That said:
From my experience, Brickset usually has PDFs, whereas Peeron/Bricklink have a series of images (one for each page of instructions). I would assume that Brickset probably pulls its instructions from customer services at Lego.com (or something similar). As such I would guess that Brickset doesn't have anything pre-90s. However, if you click on the "links" tab under the main set picture, there should be links (for Peeron and Bricklink) to the set instructions and inventory.

Must we be a member at Peeron to access instructions?

I think you do. There's also a limit as to how many views in a day you can do.

If you don't see an 'instructions' tab then click the 'links' tab and look for an 'instructions' heading.
