I'm interested. Were these given away at the event or available at the LEGO store?
Edit: nevermind, I see that they were included with purchase at TRU

^ when I saw the price I had to double check I was in the brickset forum, as I thought I was on eBay

If we can avoid another "Mr. Gold for sale" thread, I would be quite happy.

Lets try and limit/stop discussions regarding the OP and the price, as is marketplace rules. If you are going to post on the thread, ask questions or tell him "PM". Anything else usually only hurts the OP's chances of selling the item :o)

    thanks @samiam391
if anyone would like to negotiate for the yoda, please PM me.
I suggest making your own thread if you want to share your opinions. I would prefer this thread be reserved strictly for information pertaining to the item for sale as I do all of my marketplace threads.

Have a pending sale/trade for the one yoda available. Sorry, but there wasn't enough demand to justify another trip to stock up on them.

I don't see that. Maybe in a private message?!?

Asking price was to bend over and relax.

I must say, I do not really see any problem with not initially revealing the price you are looking for on an item. While in certain cases a price may be fairly well set in stone, this kind of item can only be given a price at the discretion of the seller as there are not many out there to compare it to as of yet. Thus, not offering it at any particular price and simply waiting for offers allows the seller to gauge a response of what kind of price the item can expect to command and how that stacks up next to what they might have guessed.

Regardless, it is the decision of the seller on how to best go about getting the best price for a product, and if to withhold the cost is their prerogative, subverting this by posting a price here on the thread seems a little unfair to me.

It's all about supply and demand, if someone is stupid enough to buy it at a price more fool them.
I cannot see the issue of people knowing how much the seller wants for an item, it's not a secret society here , or is it, ?

We all have a view and and someone got lucky , found an angle and may earn a fast £ , greed one of the seven deadly sins

^ I dont think so - this is a forum after all, so you cant expect to keep secrets like that.
Maybe everyone should post up the prices they were offered so we can all have a good laugh.

Please, can we give the guy a break? Why does this always happen to peoples Marketplace threads? He wants to accept bids and isn't that sure of what it is truly worth. Of course, anything is only worth as much as the buyer wants to pay for it. I have seen EBay auctions for a $50 item go for $200-300 because if a bidding war. If the price he wants is too high for you just walk away and don't buy it. Better yet, don't comment further. I'm not trying to be an a$$. I just think it goes against Marketplace etiquette.

    Bids...Offers...what difference does it make?
  • sidersddsidersdd Member Posts: 2,432
    ^ The community.

That being said, the guidelines in the Marketplace in the forums explicitly state:

    "Etiquette
Please remember that the Marketplace is intended to connect trading partners and sellers with interested buyers.

Members - especially those that have no intention to conduct direct business with the offering party - should not treat it as an opportunity to scrutinize the desired transaction, i.e. criticizing the asking price or mentioning alternate purchasing opportunities."
    and everyone should respect this.

As I said earlier, if you're only here to criticize my offers than I suggest finding a better use of your time. Maybe designing a cool LEGO mosaic or build that awesome new LOTR pirate ship. The maturity level I've encountered in the past week leads me to believe that all of you are breaking the rule of only being able to post if you're 16 years or older.

^Wait, if you are basing this on maturity, then I'm out ;)
