Does anyone have a good method for flattening instruction manuals?

put a bunch of gameboards boxes on top of them (or bigger manuals, dictionaries, enciclopedias, etc) and leave them for 3-4 days

A bit of warmth helps. I've successfully ironed them between a couple of sheets of thinnish cardboard, but I've also wrinkled a couple up that way, so not got a consistent method yet. Last ones I did I had rubber banded between a block of wood and an 8 x 16 baseplate and left them on the radiator for a bit. Weren't perfect after but were a lot less wavy.
