Found #7660 Naboo Starfighter at Half Price Books in Algonquin, Il. for $10, complete with box (contents were partially opened and built to about step 5).

God Bless Resale!

wow, I knew HPB added board games awhile back but no idea they started with toys.

I think this is extremely YMMV. I visit HPB stores as often as possible, even lobbied to get one in my city (which they eventually did!). I always look for LEGO books, but rarely find any. One day I found some old 1990's LEGO books and the cashier even commented on how rare it was for them to have any LEGO item in their store - apparently people just don't get rid of them very often. Great find, but I suspect it's going to be a one off.

They do occasionally have small toys, but they are mixed into the children's section and by no means a regular occurence. I suspect that they wouldn't buy unless it was complete with box, and as you know most people willing to get rid of their LEGO bricks cheap didn't bother to keep the boxes.

It is a YMMV find to be sure, but not on a lot of others hunters radars, and so worth a pop in and peek once in a while. My best finds tend to be these sorts of places.
