Question on 4098 - High Fliers and other older Creator sets

I recently acquired this set along with some other older Creator sets I have yet to open. The instruction manual has building instructions for around 9 different builds (with a 1 to 3 difficulty level) and then photos of around 20 other possible builds. However, I can't seem to determine which of the 9 builds can be built simultaneously - is this something that can be figured out other than just building and exploring? I'm not discounting the joy in doing that, since I managed to find two builds plus made my own franken-plane with left over pieces, but I imagine there are better methods or instructions?
