That's interesting! Never heard about this before. But I did a quick check on YouTube and there's also this video of a maxi Kinder egg containing the complete (!) Ninjago set 70500...

Kinder Eggs are illegal in the U.S. because of a confectionary law regarding toys inside candy being a choking hazard. It doesn't matter what the size is. It's a broad law, that needs to be revisited.

I knew that they are banned in the u.s. I am just curious if this is true with the minifigs being in eggs or if this is a joke. I believe that th maxi egg and this video belong to the same guy. I am heading to Germany in 12 days and if this is indeed use then I will be purchasing many eggs (to consume while visiting if course)

Well he moves the "Surprise" off camera, so it's not like he couldn’t have switched them out.

    Fake IMO.

Those were Series 9 minifigs. It looks like they could have easily been put into the capsules. Another thing I have noticed about the vids is that there is a paper in the minifig "yolk" but it is not the typical Minifig paper that the CMFs come with.

It would be cool it it is real but why does Lego not mention anything about it?

Anyone in Canada know where sells these in the Mississauga area? Curious to buy some when I'm there this summer.

The video is a total fake. He purchased some series 9 minifigures. He purchased some kinder eggs, removed the toy, left one of the papers but removed the instructions papers. Inserted the minifigures carefully on the yellow capsules. Then breaks some more eggs and pretends to then just open the capsules while the capsules had already been tampered with.

They sell them at every major grocery store. Find them in packs of 12 (or 24) I believe in the chocolate aisle, or as singles next to the checkout stands. The singles should be a little over a dollar each.

PS. The eggs DO NOT contain LEGO. This guy is only making the video hoping to trick the poor young children. Trust me, I've eaten these eggs all my life. Heck, Kinder doesn't even include small piece anymore. I miss the times when you have to construct your own toy. :(

^ thanks for the info. I'm not looking for the lego in them though. I've heard about them being banned before and was just curious so since they were brought up again I thought I'd check out what they are.

Up until the government cracked down, they were pretty to easy to find in the U.S. at European grocery stores, especially Russian and Israeli.

Fake. If TLG were to put minifigs in Kinder Eggs then there would absolutely be some sort of paperwork with it.

And slightly off topic but the comment reminded me of this advert...

If they did, the eggs would cost more than £1 each

For some weird reason about 8 or 9 months ago our youngest got series 7 bride in his kinder egg, while our oldest got the normal sort of toy?! Was slighty confused, but not had any Lego in one since.
