Hi everyone, here is some rumored info on the Black Pearl set, its going to include Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, Joshamee Gibbs, Will Turner, Maccus and Bootstrap Bill Turner. Its going to be from the Movie "Dead Mans Chest".
From the Image Ive seen its quite small so will probably be around the £80-£90 mark, it looks pretty good with some nice mini figs of which have been very nicely done so far in the PoC sets!

Is this good news to you or were you hoping for something larger etc?

Be prepared for QAR to be discontinued once the Black Pearl is out.... I doubt they will produce both ships continuously

QAR to be discontinued...? No, I wouldn't even begin to suspect that.

Personally I wanted something in the Imperial Flagship price range.

I just saw the pics. Pretty disappointing personally. Being a huge pirate ship fan, I was expecting something a little bigger, but at least its sited as 100 USD. That's the reason I haven't picked up QAR, cause its over 100 USD.

And personally I hate all the minifigs it comes with. I'm a big classic pirate fan, so I only bought the London Escape from the current PotC sets, seeing as how it has a couple red coats and a carriage driver that can be used as a regular pirate or whatever. This set looks like it only has specialty characters that can't really be used for anything else, and I already have Sparrow and Gibbs...

Thanks for the info tho! Probably will EVENTUALLY get it tho, just not crazy about it.

While the exterior of the Black Pearl looks a bit underwhelming, I believe it will have a really great cabin! You can see from the preliminary that it's going to be a lot bigger than Queen Anne's.

While opening the Lego website there was an advertisement for the POTC game with Jack Sparrow in the front and what appears to be a Black Pearl behind him with the Kraken. You should be able to see if from the main page, but I'll post a screen shot.

Anyway, I know this is different from pre-liminary pictures and has pieces that aren't usually sold with Lego sets- ropes, small cannons, large anchor, etc, but at least it can be an inspiration to those who were hoping for a larger Black Pearl and you could probably acquire the needed pieces from Bricklink.

Check out the gallery section on the Black Pearl from the Brickipedia site, it gives some really nice views of the ship, and may just help you decide to buy it! :)
