Starwars scene.

Hi I planning to build a large (ish) Starwars scene I have a couple of Qs.

• When u see images of large models scenes

• Have they brought loads of ready made sets to get enough bits and figures?

• Should I buy colour coded lots on ebay?

• Can u oder and army of storm troopers direct from somewhere?

To give u an idea of what I'm trying to create, I planning to sand blast the inside of this trunk stand it on-end on a turntable in the conner of my lounge. Like a secret base u can spin it round to revile the inside. Its about 2meters long so I should get in quit a few levels with a launch pad at the top garages for vehicles ect ect...

Any help greatly appreciated, Many thanks

Go to brinklink, depends on the type of stormtrooper you need, but a few vendors have 100+ and you can buy all the loose bricks or lots you need.

I've not built a scene yet but bricklink is definitely the way forward. It's loads cheaper than eBay although ebay can be handy/cheaper for bulk random bricks.

ACPin has built some of the biggest SW Mocs I've seen by a single person.

From the sound of it, you are not building a large scene, but lots of small vignettes. You could try looking at the Death Star instructions, and picking a couple of scenes out of that - eg. trash compactor, Luke / Vader / Palpatine, maybe picking up a landspeeder with Luke and Obi Wan and the droids.

How big is the interior going to be?

Thanks for your help. I just wanted to check I wasn't missing something obvious.

Acpin Moc are great thanks for the tip! (2 days on here and I've started using jargon oh dear what's next!)

CCC yes thanks I got the Death Star and that's kinda what inspired me when me and my son built it. I recon I should fit in around 8-9 levels connected by leaders stains lift ect each on should be about a foot square. I think ur right pick up a few sets, a couple of eBay lots and learn how to use bricklink well.

It's going to take a long time but I will get a picture up eventually.

    More suggestions welcomed tho!

Bricklink is the only way to go unless you don't care about used bricks.. then use eBay. Anything is possible with $$$ and Bricklink.

BTW there is no magic secret to source cheap bricks. All the Large MOCs you see are .5-.10 a brick and they add up to thousands really quick :/
