Valuation request - Set 383 Knights Jousting new and sealed (1979)

Hi All,

My son found this set in a local antique style shop, it's a 1979 383 set which depicts knights jousting, its brand new and cellophane sealed in immaculate condition. The box is perfect colour and perfectly square, it's honestly as good as it would have been on a shop shelf in 1979. We paid £5 for it and i was wondering if this is worth significantly more? he is desperate to open it!

Yes it is worth more...... IMHO way more ;) Quick search will show them for about $40 and up for a used/opened one. To me it'd be priceless and I"d open it, build it and keep it on display.
